"Fine, I'll do it."

"Good, good! Glad you took the easier route." Mori said, his hand coming up to pinch his nose. "Working with those memory ability users is always a pain."

You gulped nervously, now second guessing your choice. It was too late thought to change your mine.

"Well you're going to need someone to help you get the rope of things, huh?" Mori continued, his hand coming to tap his chin as he thought. His gaze soon turning to face Akutagawa. "Akutagawa, you've been dying for a tougher mission, right?~"

Akutagawa froze, his gaze burning into you for a second before looking back at Mori. "No way, I'm not watching over them any longer!"

You looked at both the men, your stress levels rising.

What was Mori thinking pairing me with the man who literally wants me dead?! You thought to yourself as they bickered.

"Akutagawa, you know better then to talk back to your higher ups, it's a shame you of all people would break that rule." Mori said as he stepped towards Akutagawa. "Dazai has that weretiger as his new apprentice now, don't you want a chance to prove yourself worthy? To train someone better than Dazai could the weretiger? Like yourself?"

Akutagawa froze, his eyes wide as he fought to keep his composure. All he did was nod, holding back from speaking any words that may make things worse.

"Good good, now run along now, get our new member settled into an actual room now alright?~"

"Yes, will do sir." Akutagawa said, his body turning as he left the room, not even checking to see if you're following.

Unlucky for him though you did, staying 5 feet behind him not daring to get close.

Especially after being told something that clearly rubbed salt into his wounds.

It didn't make sense why that Dazai guy from before was mentioned. Wasn't he apart of the agency? So why did Mori use him against Akutagawa like he cared about him?

Apart of you felt bad for Akutagawa though. To him you just came in and swiped his life sideways. Taking over all of his freedom.

But to be fair he did do the same to you.

"Here" Akutagawa said, opening the door to a new room in a hall full of doors, like a apartment sorta.

You walked into the room, your gaze scanning over everything placed inside.

It was a way bigger room then the one you were held in for the last few days. A king sized bed instead of a twin was given to you as well. Along with another connection bathroom, and even a TV and couch. A mini kitchen set off on the other side as well.

Sweet, but how do they get the funds for all this? You thought to yourself.

Akutagawa suddenly closed the door, leaving you two alone from any other passersby.

You quickly turned around, facing the man in a panic once you saw the look in his eyes. "Look I'm so sor-"

"Shut it." He said, cutting you off, his Rashomon coming up to wrap around your neck.

You widened your eyes, trying to process what was going on.

He isn't going to kill me, right? Specially after what Mori said. You thought, trying to relax yourself.

But either way you still panicked, your hands came up to try and pull the ability off your neck, it obviously was no use. You could already feel the air leaving you lungs as you tried to gasp for air, your teeth gritting.

"Just because I'm supposed to train you doesn't mean I'm going to be nice. When I was trained by Dazai it felt like I was living in a place worse than hell, so don't expect anything less you hear!" The Mafioso said, his gaze intense on yours. Seemingly burning through you.

You stammered out, trying your best to stay calm, you were gasping for air as you uselessly fought against him.

Wait, so Dazai mentored Akutagawa? But how!? He wasn't a mafia member. Or did he used to be?

You nodded at him to the best of your ability, you soon gasping for air as you fell back to the ground. The Rashomon releasing its grasp on you.

"Good" the man said, his hands falling into his coat pockets. "Be ready by 4am tomorrow."

"What? Why 4am?! That's dumb!" You protested, wondering why he would want to start so early in the morning.

So he hates being around you, but wants to get up earlier then the birds to train you? What is with this guy.

"Just be ready by then, if you're not then you will be punished accordingly." He curtly responded before turning to leave the room. The door soon slamming behind him.

"Well he's fun at parties." You mumbled to yourself, checking the time on the clock.

It was currently 11pm.

Well damn so much for getting rest before tomorrow. Thank you Akutagawa. You thought.

You searched the dresser in your room, hoping to find a change of clothes. You luckily finding a white tee and grey sweatpants to sleep in. "Thank God" you said to yourself.

You changed into said sleep wear, your arms stretching up as you yawned. You headed to your bed, grateful to have more then just a twin size bed of space.

You snuggled up into your blankets, your head resting on your pillow, another yawn escaping your lips before you were out.

Hopefully I won't die tomorrow.
