"It's the only plan I could think of that seemed like a plan Dazai would make, okay."

-

You were in Akutagawa's arms. The man carrying you back because you passed out after the encounter in the alleyway. The wound in your leg still throbbing with pain.

You eventually awoke from your state while being carried back, you soon overhearing the words exchanged between Akutagawa and Higuchi, causing you to pretend to stay passed out to hear.

After hearing what Akutagawa said your heart stopped, guilt, anger, and sympathy for the man overwhelming you.

He clearly was just trying to be like the man who he looked up to. Despite the fact the man was awful to him. And didn't think about anything else.

But at what cost? The cost of you. The cost of his own team member.

He was willing to put his own subordinate in harm's way just to be like someone who couldn't care less about him.

It was wrong on so many levels and it pissed you off more then you thought it would.

-

You soon passed back out in Akutagawas arms, the bloodloss and strong emotions knocking you back out.

You now reawaking for a second time, your gaze fuzzy as you tried to process where you were.

After about five minutes though you realized you were in the ports infirmary. You having been placed on one of the many cheaper beds placed inside to rest.

You tried to shift to stand, but a sharp pain filled your leg, causing you to hiss and forget about standing.

Damnit, what made him think that was a good idea? You thought, your mind replaying the incident over and over in your head.

You just wanted answers, you just wanted to talk to him.

Though to your luck the door opened, the sound of someone walking in filling your ears.

"Oh you're awake! How are you feeling?" A girls voice spoke, instantly depleting you of any hope.

Of course Akutagawa wouldn't visit me you idiot. You thought before responding to the nurse.

"Oh uh ya, I'm fine."

"Good good, you're lucky it was only just the leg you got shot in." The nurse said, her voice sounding sympathetic to your condition.

"But not lucky enough to have partners that don't shoot their own people." You spit out, your rage over the situation starting to flare up again.

The woman was caught off guard at your sudden hostility, taking a step back before letting out a sigh, only muttering out an apologetic sorry as she headed back over to you. "Let me see your leg."

You just rolled your eyes as you lifted up the blanket, rolling up the new sweatpants provided to you after your other ones were removed to reach your injury.

As the nurse examined the wound and checked your vitals you couldn't help but ask what was stuck hard on your mind.

"Did Akutagawa ever come in here?"

"To drop you off, yes, since then, no." She replied, her voice sounding apologetic as she spoke.

You let out a sigh, odd sadness taking over you. Making you angry at yourself for being upset.

So he had the guts to shoot you, after you told him you trusted him, and have worked next to him for a month straight now. Yet he couldn't dare to visit you to at least see if you were okay?
