The Stream (Part 1)

You had been so excited to try a new game you had just bought, you see you had always been a bit of a nerd, and someone on one of your streams had mentioned you might like the game Ark Survival Evolved. You had done some research into the game, and being a massive fan of Dinosaurs you decided to splurge a little and buy it. You were in the kitchen getting some bits you would need as you had decided to stream whilst playing. You grabbed some snacks and some water and made your way up to your office.

You switched on your PC and loaded up steam, the game was downloaded so all that was left to do was go live and you could begin playing. You tweeted out your usual going live tweet, you weren't a massive streamer, you only had around 20k followers, but you had made partner a few weeks prior and you could not be more thrilled. You started your stream and sat on your Just Chatting screen for a while, catching up with your regulars and even some new chatters.

After about 20 minutes you switched over to the game, deciding to start on the first map The Island. Your chatters were exposing how the game worked and you started to slowly get the hang of things. Suddenly an alert popped up on your screen that you had a new subscriber. You thanked the user, telling them you appreciated them and continued playing. You were able to get your house made fully out of wood when you noticed your chat going crazy.

RichieKane: Jennaaaaaaa!

HugMeHoe: Is it the real Jenna?

LolYouSimppp: It's her account OMG JENNAAAAAA!

"Guys what's going on why are y'all spamming?" You questioned. That was when you saw your best friend and stream moderator comment.

ItsJessxox: No fuckin way Y/N it's actually her 😱

"It's actually who Jess? Guys what the fuck is going on?" you asked, starting to get a bit frustrated that nobody was explaining what was happening. You decided to switch to your Just Chatting screen again so you could scroll up the chat to before the spam began. That's when you saw it. Jenna Ortega had typed in your chat. Pretty much every regular viewer knew the massive crush you had on the actress and in an instant the gay panic sank in.

JennaOrtega: I love this game! Wait until you tame a giga for the first time, that's always fun!

"Okay so we're going to take a bathroom break here, be right back guys" you said quickly, before switching to your away screen and muting your microphone. What in the actual fuck were you supposed to do with that. You went to her account and it was definitely her, she was the first person you had followed on twitch so you would know. You sat there in shock, before noticing your chat.

ItsJessxox: Y/N is gay panicking fr right now lmao

PJweekendz: BFFR how quick she left lolllll

HugMeHoe: Tbf if my crush joined I'd do the same hahahaha

JennaOrtega: I'm her crush? That's so cute!

ItsJessxox: Yoooo ain't no fuckin way Y/N get back onnnn

You composed yourself and took a sip of water before unmuting your microphone and switching back to your game screen. You continued to stream for the next hour or so, managing to tame a couple of small dinosaurs before you decided you needed to stop streaming so you could do some housework. You said your goodbyes and wished everyone well and ended your stream, turning your PC off and going back downstairs to make a coffee.

Your phone dinged, it was a notification from Instagram.

JennaOrtega sent you a direct message.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me" you said. You opened messenger and called Jess, needing the moral support of your bestie before you opened the message. "Jess she's messaged me on Insta" you said as soon as she answered the phone. "No wayyyy what did she say!" she replied. "I don't know I haven't opened it" you shrugged.

"Dude what the fuck are you doing, your celebrity crush has dmed you and you haven't opened it, open it for fuck sake!" she practically screamed down the phone at you. You opened Instagram up and went to your dms, seeing the request there, you took a deep breath before opening the message.

To say you were shocked would be an understatement. You told Jess about what she had said and she wouldn't stop teasing you. You just hoped that you wouldn't fuck it up when you spoke to her.
