A couple of months passed and it was nearing the end of the term for the students. Dumbledore and Grindelwald's relationship had not changed, when they saw each other neither one would make eye contact. Their eyes would dart away from each other like one of them had a dirty secret. It had become less of a secret to the rest of the Wizarding World that Grindelwald was tucked away at Hogwarts. The papers became more aggressive as the months continued, and strikes and protests were being planned. Wizards from all over the world would be coming to Hogwarts to drag Grindelwald out of the school.

The energy was completely different when the articles started, children were getting pulled out of school. Dozens of howlers screeched at their children to keep them updated about Grindelwalds status. The stress was building up on someone in particular, Gellert developed eye bags as deep and dark as a cave. He completely lost the smirk that he was known for. He was becoming a different person. The only one who noticed this was Albus, it started to affect him witnessing Gellert in bad shape as ever before.

The last class of the day finally finished and it was the first time Grindelwald had not rushed out of the room, instead, he remained standing in front of the window gazing out of it.
"This isn't the first time they have written badly about me, I'm not used to having my supporters not around me to muffle out the noise." Grindelwald slowly spoke his voice was getting deeper but somehow more scratchy. This is the first time they had a conversation in many weeks, Grindelwald was cold and closed off and didn't have any intentions of talking to Albus. Dumbledore was confused why Gellert was sharing this.

"If you believe that I will be your muffler you've got the wrong guy." Albus stood to the right of Gellert looking out the window, he traced Grindelwalds eyes to a flower field right outside of the grounds.
Gellert cocked his head to the right turning his body to face Albus, his arm extended to Albus's left cheek as he stroked his thumb over the wrinkles close to his eyes.
"You're getting old, it's showing." Instead of the usual Gellert smirk a genuine smile was displayed across his face, with a tint of rose flooding his cheeks matching the color of Albus.

Albus opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out, he was thinking of an insult but his thoughts were blocked by the consistent movement of Gellert's glossy pale hands across his face. Grindelwald's fingers moved down to his lips as one finger was placed on Albus's mouth to get him to stay quiet. Albus removed the roaming finger and took it in his hand and yanked Grindelwald closer, he snaked his head around Gellert's neck near his ear.
"I've always liked a silver fox." Albus prolonged the sentence as if a snake was saying it allowing his hot breath to explore Grindelwald's neck. Within an instant Gellert pressed his mouth to Albus's and laid them there, a memory from years ago had finally been repeated and both men were now recreating it. Albus tore away his lips and took Gellert's hand and started to pull him along.

Hand in hand Albus and Gellert were running through the castle down toward the grounds. They passed many students who watched in disbelief.
"I knew they were together, I just knew it!" A girl with black braids yelled to her friend who was now pulling out her gold galleons counting them out loud and handing them to her friend.

Ignoring all the sounds both men were running toward the edge of the grounds, they laid their eyes on a pink and purple flower field close to Hogsmeade. They ran quicker since it was nearing sundown, as they arrived the men ran to the middle. Albus pulled Gellert on top of him and started to laugh. Both of them felt like teenagers again, without stress and worry. The men sounded like children who had just made an inappropriate joke, Albus took both of his hands and placed them on Gellerts face pulling it forward and kissing him. Grindelwald plopped to the side and they both looked up at the sunset. Two men who were together again after many years had found their way back to each other. Gellert turned to his side and started to pluck the flowers out of the ground.

"Don't ruin the field Gellert," Albus said with an easy tone trying not to sound like a teacher. Grindelwald only smirked in return and continued to pluck the flowers out of the dirt, his glossy hands started to twist around each other as he started to braid. After many twists and turns a flower crown was created, Gellet placed the crown on top of the boy's head and smiled.

"I guess that was worth the flowers." Albus admired the pleased look on his enemy's face. Does kissing your enemy still make them your enemy?
"Was I ever worth it Albus? Gellerts face shrank into a sad face, and Albus's heart swelled for him.
Albus let out a lengthy sigh, Albus didn't want to lie because he knew he'd be caught in the act. But he didn't want to hurt the other boy's feelings.

"When I first met you Gellert Grindelwald you lit up my world as we grew together you started to scare me. I fell more in love with you and was afraid to leave, when I finally left it only felt good for a couple of days. I grieved as if you died and at that time I wish died with you. No one has ever replaced you and nobody ever will. It scared me so much when you started to come up in the Daily Prophet it was as if you were following every step I took. Jealousy turned to anger and it stuck ever since. Gellert, you are worth every breath you take."

Just as Gellert was going to respond the flowers started to rustle not too far away from where they were laying. They quickly stood up and started to look around, hoping it was just an animal. A man appeared over the field of flowers dressed in purple lush robes. Wand in hand he started to run over to Gellert.
"You monster who is able to get away with this, stored away in your impenetrable school filled with innocent children? We won't let you get away with this and I'll be the one to finish it." The man was red in the face and looked as if he was going to implode, he started to mumble words and both Albus and Gellert's wand flew fifty feet away from them.
"He can do wandless magic!" Questioned Albus trying to run away from the man. He looked back and saw Gellert stuck in place.
"Let me go right now or I'll kill you." Grindelwald seethed.

The man started to mumble more and Albus was flung off of his feet, the force of the spell set Gellert free. He sprinted to his wand and started to charge toward the man. He easily flung Gellert away like a bug on his robes, he started to pace toward Albus and took his wand out of his pocket.

"You dirty traitor. You are just as bad as him!" The man spat on Albus like he was a piece of trash. The man started to back away still holding eye contact with Albus. He started to smile, it wasn't like Gellerts it was menacing and disgusting because of his missing rotting teeth.

Out of nowhere The man lifted his wand to waist level and screamed, "AVADA KEDAVRA!"

Albus closed his eyes and started to wonder what Gellert would do without him. Was it all a lie? Did Gellert Grindelwald love him in the end or was it just another fake happy ending?
