Leo X Fem. Reader

Chapter 9

       It was early in the morning and I just stepped out of the shower so that everyone else could take one and I wouldn't be left with little to no hot water. After drying off I put my pajamas back on as my hair air dried and I still had about two hours until it was time to head out with everyone. We had planned on going ice skating, lunch, and going to the New Year festival downtown.

       To kill time I headed over to April's apartment to hang out for about an hour before I had to go home and get ready. When I arrived I gave a small knock at the door and waited, it didn't take long for her to answer. "Oh hey Y/n! Happy New Year's!" She gave me a big hug and I hugged her back. We headed on inside and got some snacks and began gossiping about some of the little things going on in our lives and also about school starting up again. "So that Dale kid, huh?" I wiggled my eyebrows up and down in a playful way. "Oh my gosh no. Why would you even bring him up." "Well he obviously has a major crush on you. I just might even set you two up on a date together." She looked at me with daggers in her eyes. "You wouldn't dare." "Oh I would."

       She smirked at me which made me feel a bit uneasy. "Soo, you and Leo huh?" I blushed a bit at the comment. "What are you trying to get at?" "Oh nothing, I just want to know about your relationship with him. So spill." I rolled my eyes at her, "What is there to spill? We just started dating, and besides his hero work isn't giving us much time to hang out." She looked at me with a surprised look on her face, "Wait so you two haven't gone on a date yet?" I shook my head, making eye contact. "Ooo me and him are going to have a talk. Don't worry girl, this will be the best date you will ever go on in your life." "And I'll set up a date with you and Dale as well." She paused and looked at me. "Say what now?" I laughed and she soon joined in.

       After an hour I headed back to my apartment and went straight to my room. I dried my hair the rest of the way and put on the clothes that I already had laid out, and quickly did my hair with a touch of makeup. "Come on Y/n, it's time to go." Mom said knocking on my door. I quickly finished and headed out of my room and to the front door to where everyone was waiting for me. The four of us then made our way down the stairs and piled up into the car.

       As we arrived at the ice skating rink we got our rental skates and got on the ice. We weren't skilled whatsoever so we all just stayed near the wall until we got the hang of it. I took a chance and began skating and I was actually quite decent. I mean it's not so different from rollerblading. "Show off!" My brother yelled at me while I skated circles around him. "It's not my fault you suck at everything." He then apparently tried to prove me wrong and do the same thing I did but failed immediately. As we were laughing at him he crawled off the ice and sat on the bench with his arms crossed and pouting while staring daggers at me while I skated.

       After about an hour my parents got the hang  of it while Xavier was just scrolling away on his phone. I decided to call it quits as I was getting cold and blisters were beginning to form on my feet, and my parents followed behind me with the same idea in mind. After skating we headed to an amazing food to which their food was divine.

       "So how are you liking New York so far?" Dad asked while cutting his steak. "Oh, it's amazing. They have so many sights and a lot of amazing stores to choose from. There are so many things you can do here." "Well I'm glad you two are loving it here." We then continued eating our food and soon made our way to the festival which wasn't far from here.

       There were so many different kinds of booths, face paint, henna art, jewelry, clothes, and a lot more that were being sold. "Hey Mom, you want to get some henna art done on our arms?" She nodded with a smile and we headed that way while Dad and Xavier went to check out the other booths. We chose our designs and it took about an hour and a half till it was done, but it was worth it. "What else would you like to do?" We looked around looking at all the clothes, body care, house decorations, but nothing seemed to interest us much. "Mom look!" I took her arm and pulled her to the tiny petting zoo. "Aww, they're so precious." I played with one of the baby goats while Mom got to hold a newborn baby rabbit.

       "There you are." Mom and I looked up from the animals to see Xavier and Dad walked up to us. "Why didn't any of you answer our texts?" I held up the baby goat, "Baby animals!" They both just sighed. "Let me see one." Xavier got into the pin with me and picked up another baby goat while Dad was looking at the baby chicks. We stayed there for a little while petting and holding each and every animal. "Well it's time to go." Dad informed us after looking at his watch. "Aww but why?" I began to pout knowing I would have to leave these cuties. "The fireworks will begin soon." I gave one last tiny squeeze to the rabbit I was holding and followed everyone to where the fireworks were going to be shown. 

       As we were waiting I went to look at my phone and saw the notifications from my Dad and brother and also one from April. I let out a quick sigh and opened the notification.

       April: Hey, the boys and I are at my house if you want to come over.

       I looked over at Mom and poked her to get her attention. "Hey, when we get back home can I hang out with my friend next door for a bit?" She smiled and nodded. "It's good that you have friends, I don't mind." I smiled at her and texted April back.

       Y/n: Sure I'll come over when I get back to the complex.

       April: Yay! I can't wait. I'll save you a spot next to Leo😏.

       Y/n: Omg sop.

       I turned it off and soon after the fireworks started. The fireworks couldn't have been any better. It reminded me of the festival that me , April, and the turtles went to last month.

       After the fireworks were done we made our way to the car and headed home. Instead of heading to the apartment with everyone else I headed to April's and knocked on the door. The next thing I knew I was snatched and dragged into the room before I could even blink or yelp.

       Mikey wrapped me in a hug and I just stood there just trying to take in whatever just happened. "I missed you so much y/n." "I missed you too Mikey." We made our way into the living room where everyone was waiting. Mikey plopped me down next to Leo and went to sit down next to April and Donnie. "Hey" he said as he wrapped an arm around me and I just laid my head on his shoulder. "Awwww!!" they all said in such amazing synchronization except for Donnie who just sat there on his phone. I rolled my eyes and just sat there next to Leo as they started a horror movie. Probably to get me to jump into Leo's arms at a jump scare. But that isn't going to happen.

       When a jump scare came on the screen it was actually Leo who jumped into my arms. he cleared his throat and acted like he meant to do that. "There there, I got you. no Need to be scared." Everyone laughed at my comment and his face turned red. "I'm not scared, I just wanted to give you a hug that's all." I hummed at his response. "Sure you were. now if you don't mind, you're kind of blocking circulation to my legs." He sat back down next to me and wrapped his arm around me and we continued watching the movie.

       Once the movie was finished we all got up and put all the snacks away. "Well it's time for you four to go home. My Mom will be home shortly." April said after looking at her phone. We all gave each other hugs and said our goodbyes. April led them to the kitchen window so they could leave without being noticed. Leo gave me a quick on the cheek and jumped out of the window with his brothers. "Aww that's so adorable." I gave her a glare before closing the window for her. "By the way I talked to Leo about that date so me and him are planning it out for you two." "Oh really, what will we be doing?" She just left the kitchen and I followed her, still curious about what she planned. "You'll see." I rolled my eyes. I said goodbye with a hug and headed back to my apartment.

       I opened the door and Xavier was on the couch and I heard Mom and Dad  talking in his room. I just shrugged and headed into my room and threw on some clothes before crawling into bed. I grabbed my phone and opened up messages and started a conversation with Dale.

       Y/n: Hey wanna go on a date with April?

       Dale: Sure! When and where?

       I sent him all that he needed to know and texted April to meet me there at the time I sent Dale. I giggled at my little plan. My plan will be too funny to watch.
