"Do we have everything ready?" Everyone nodded with their equipment needed. "And we all understand the plan?" Everyone nodded again wearing serious expressions. "Alright let's go." I got out my sword and created a portal to Draxum's lab and made another portal for Dad outside.
The four of us made our way through the portal and there Draxum was standing in the middle of the lab waiting for us. He wore a smug grin across his face with his arms behind his back. We stood there staring at him for a bit until the portal shut behind us. I glanced all around the room but couldn't find Y/n anywhere.
"Alright we're here Draxum. Now release Y/n." I said lowering my tone showing my anger that I had towards him.
"I see you kept your promise. Bring out the girl." Draxum yelled behind him while widening his smile. It was obvious he thought of something. Foot Lieutenant came out drag Y/n by a metal chain locked around her wrists slinging her forward.
It took every ounce of strength in me to not run up to her and just hold her in my arms. I almost broke when she looked up at me with tears and fear in her eyes. I stood there petrified seeing the bruises and cuts on her. I swear if he put one finger on her I would personally remove Draxum's head from his neck.
I was tapped out of my thoughts by Raph. "Ok now let her go, we came just like you asked." Raph said, holding his ground.
"I'm afraid that won't be happening." Draxum explained walking towards her.
"WHAT THAT WASN'T PART OF THE DEAL!! YOU SAID..."
"What I said wasn't the truth. You turtles are really stupid enough to think I would honor my word." He grabbed her by the hair making her sit up straight. She bit him while he paid her back with a slap to the face. That was my breaking point. I grabbed my sword from its sheath and charged at him.
"LEO WAIT!" Raph screamed at me. I didn't hear him. All I saw was red. Draxum had nor reason or right to lay hands on her and I will make sure he won't be able to ever again. But before I reached him something grabbed and pulled me to the ground. He used his tentacles to hold me and my brothers down. Shit. This was bad. Not only was Y/n in danger, I just screwed up the whole entire mission.
Y/N's POV
I stared at Leo with tears filling up my eyes making my vision go to a blur. I wish I could've warned him but he bound me to the ground and put a gag in my mouth making it difficult for me to speak. We were all screwed. I won't be able to see my family any more, or my friends. And I won't even get to spend the life that I wanted with Leo.
As Draxum walked towards the boys and Foot Lieutenant left the lab leaving me unsupervised really. I looked around for something but then I heard something coming from behind me. I turned around and there was April and Splinter.
"Hey girl, we came to help." April said while looking around for the keys. Splinter kept an eye on Draxum just in case he tried to hurt the boys or come back my way. Moments later April found the keys and unlocked my chained and undid my gag.
I dropped the chains quietly in order to not catch Draxum's attention and snuck off the vent that April and Splinter came from.
"Splinter, what about the boys?" I asked before entering the vent.
"It's alright. I'll take care of them. You and April make y'alls escape for now. Leo would kill me if something were to happen to you." I nodded and followed April through the vents. I was worried. What if they all didn't make it out and I couldn't do anything about it. I just have to trust them. They are the experts after all.
Leo's POV
I let out a small sigh after seeing Y/n making it out safe and sound. Now the problem was the one that I put us in. Draxum went on and on with his speech which was boring. AT that point I was ready to be put out of my misery.
"After I mutate your little girlfriend, New York will rightfully take the yoki's way." He yapped. It was like five minutes of this monologue. Where is dad when you need him.
One of the alarms suddenly went off in the lab notifying Draxum of a breach. After hearing that Draxum spun around and saw that Y/n was missing. "SHIT!"
Draxum then marched his way up to me while grabbing the sword I dropped. "You won't be getting out of here alive. Not you or your brothers." He raised the sword above his head. A bead of sweat made its way down my forehead. I closed my eyes and as I expected to be beheaded it never came. I slowly opened my eyes with the red lights still blaring and the alarm still sounding. I then saw Dad fighting Draxum with my other sword.
I then turned to Mikey. "MIKEY USE YOUR NUNCHUCKS TO FREE US."
"On it Leo." Mikey used his free hand to activate the mystical powers in his chucks and burned away the tentacles setting us free.
"Come on Dad, let's get out of here." Raph called out while making our way to the vent. Once Splinter found an opening he made his way to the exit as well.
I then retrieved my swords and teleported us back to the lair. The room was spinning. I slowly gained my balance and looked around. I then laid my eyes on Y/n, who was also looking a bit distraught. I ran to her wrapping my arms around her not wanting to let her go.
"I'm so sorry my love. I should've been able to protect you but I failed. I failed you." I sobbed into her shoulder. She held me while we made our way to the ground to just sit and hold one another.
"It's not your fault. You didn't know any of this was going to happen." She said in a soothing voice rubbing the back of my shell.
"But I still should have been able to protect you." I pulled her closer to me.
"Leo don't beat yourself up over this. The good thing is that we got her back and we are all safe." Raph said with the others standing around us.
"Yea, we can't predict every event going to happen. But the mission would've gone smoother if you didn't screw it up. OW!" Donnie rubbed the back of his head after Mikey slapped him with a smug grin.
I looked around and smiled at everyone. They each then made their way towards Y/n and gave their own hugs and explained how happy they are now that she's back.
"Hey, could you tell my brother I'm spending the night with a friend, April?" Y/n said while holding onto my arm. April smiled and agreed and continued making her way out of the lair.
Y/n led me to my room. She quickly spun around and pulled me down to her level and planted a kiss on my lips. I practically melted in that kiss. I didn't realize how much I was craving her taste until she was gone. This time I wasn't going to let her go.
