" You can't slip away this time. The thing which only you and your vatsu knew was this only. What's that curse? Is this related to the ill fate of my children?" Satyapriya demanded for truth.
" Satya leave that and say where is Deva. I had something to talk " Krishna tried his best to jump to other topic.
" I don't care. Just tell me the truth. What's this?" This time Satyapriya had tears and finally Krishna gave up.
He narrated the whole scenario called Gandhari's curse which was devouring his clan now. Satyapriya stood as if she is hit by a thunderbolt.
" No This is unfair. Me and my children have no fault here. Infact I was not even born at that time. Stop this please " She cried.
Krishna just gave a pale smile.
" What question are you asking from whom, child? This is life rushing towards the end. Can you stop it by your wish?" He chuckled.
" 36 years passed away with this pain. I missed everything of mine in the name of Dharmastapana" He sighed and stood up.
" My whole life went in setting up things right after finishing it I thought of looking at my own family but destiny snatched that happiness too. I realised what all I have missed. I can never carry my children on my shoulders they all have grown up. I missed a beautiful phase called being a father. Tell with whom should I share my plight?" Krishna tried his best to hold on his emotions.
" You could have shared with us. Or with your wives you all are divine beings right " Satyapriya said.
" But I am a human too. I got a heart like you which throbs for my people. How can I share this with others? How can I tell my brother, who even exceeds my eyelids in caring me that I have brought the end for his bloodline? How can I tell my Bhabhishree who loves me more than her own kids that I have brought death for her children? Rukmini who don't even bear a small dust particle hurting my eyes, Jambhavati who longs to see my happy , Satyabhama who lives to keep up my pride, Kalindi who serves at my feet keeping aside her position of being a daughter of Sun, all my dear queens who consider my happiness, difficulties and sorrows are theirs, how should I tell that I have set fire to their motherhood? How?" Krishna's eyes flooded with tears.
Satyapriya wrapped her hands around his arm in order comfort him.
" I can't see their tears. What if they cry after knowing the matter? That's why I preserved this matter in me. I don't want to witness them crying for me and my children. That's why I sent everyone away from Dwaraka. I just met my parents and Grandfather. I don't have any clutches now. At present present I am mere old man recollecting his life." Krishna said placing his head on his granddaughter's lap.
Satyapriya caressed his hairs. She spotted Aniruddha joyfully pulling Dristadeva and Abhigna with him. She could see Dristadeva refusing but Aniruddha was not leaving him. Behind them she saw Abhigna with his Rudra Veena and the twins also following them to join Yadava Youths sports.
Satyapriya tried to call out their names but Krishna stopped.
" No dear do not try to stop anyone or anything. Let the things happen. Let what all the things remaining be finished too. Stay back with me " Krishna said.
Satyapriya again started patting his head.
" Such a bliss it was,Days with Yashoda ma as carefree boy. Hopping with my dear friends Subhala, madhoo, Chandra. I never knew one day I would rule a Kingdom " Krishna giggled.
" Sandipini ashram, that was one more best thing. Me and Agraja along with our friends specially Sudhama learning values of life such a sweet one " He said looking at the sky.
" After that I got lost in my duties. Lost everything that a normal man enjoys. This is what I learnt that not to completely ignore today for tomorrow. Or else at the we have to repent like this" He chuckled.
" Don't say like that Dadaji. Please do something. I can't see you all departing from earth " Satyapriya said.
" Your mother said the same but she cheated me by leaving me soo early " He said with a smile but the very next moment his smile vanished.
" I recieved love from lakhs of people Satya but at last I am left left with none to perform agnisparsha to my lifeless body. Not a person left to give a glass of water to this old man " Krishna cried and so Satyapriya.
Satyapriya sat with Krishna for while listening to all his words.
" Go dear rest for a while. I can't talk further. May you see prosperity " Krishna pecked her forehead and sent her back to home and sat back on his couch as before and closed his eyes.
Satyapriya turned back to see Krishna again. She stood watching at him as if she is filling him in her eyes.
" No one else can become as virtuous as you Dadaji. You are great" She whispered and went inside her empty house.
Dristadeva and children were off with Aniruddha. She sat next to her Bharghi and started staring at his face.
" Bharghi, we all are going to meet our end " Satyapriya mumbled.
Her hands travelled up to her slightly bulged belly which housed a new life. Grief spilled out from her heart through her eyes all of a sudden.
" M...m..m..ma" An unclear whispers caught her ears. She looked up to see Bharghi trying to speak looking at Satyapriya.
The other side, the unwanted verbal duel of Satyaki and Kritvarma ignited the sparks of quarrels among Yadavas.
