The first step s1 e4

The headmaster office

You were looking out the window while ozpin was sitting at his desk working on something
You turn around and walked over his desk. Sitting on his desk and asking with a playful smile, "you excited to throw children off a cliff? I know it's your favorite thing to do."

You chuckles because he gave you a somewhat disappointing look. He looked annoyed because people say it's his favorite thing to do, in reality It's really not. He turns his chair to face you and says, "really." You lightly chuckled as you get off the desk and move to the window again but not before sliding your hand across his jaw saying lightly "yes, really." when you did that he felt his heart beat faster.

As you faced the window, you looked up at the morning sky. A small smile started creeping on your face, while you were distracted you felt arm wrap around your waist and a head rest on your shoulder.

You knew who it was of cause, But also when he does this it means he's either tired or something the matter. You've decided to ask him, "is something the matter?" He didn't say anything for a moment, but he says, "nothing's the matter, I'm just trying to get myself ready for the day."

He put his head up and you turn around to face him with his arm still around you. He continued "it's hard to throw kids into the air, you know."
You huff and pushed lightly at his chest playfully "yeah right, I know you enjoy throwing kids off the cliff" he laughs and says "maybe, Maybe not, No one knows." he smiles down at you and places a kiss on your forehead before you say to him in a calm voice "can we just stay like this for a while." He reply's "of cause, we can."

They stood there close to each other. You loves the way he smelled, Not in a weird way of cause. But the smell always brings you comfort. Knowing that you both will never be alone again.

At the Beacon cliff.

There stood the students, you, ozpin, and Glynda.
Ozpin spoke "for years, you have trained to become warriors, And today will be evaluated in the emerald forest."

Glynda said "now I'm sure many of you heard of rumors about the assignment of teams. Well allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given team mates... today."

You heard ruby whine. You ignored it and says, "these team mates will be with you for the rest of your time here at beacon, So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well."

Ozpin finished your sentence "that being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."
Ruby in the background "What!"
Ozpin continues, "after you've partnered up make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will met our position along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die."

Jaune nervously laughs and gulps. The boy looked every nervous.
You spoke, "you will be monitored and graded for the deration of your initiation. But our instructors will not intervene. You will find abandon temple, At the end of the path. Containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. You will guard that item as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"

Jaune finally spoke "yeah um miss" raising his hand up to get you attention. You interrupted him "good now take you position."
They all did but Jaune was still trying to get you and Ozpin's attention.

Jaune spoke "uh sir, miss. I've got um uh Question... so this landing strategy thing, uh what is it? You like dropping us off or something?"
Ozpin spoke first "no you will be falling."
Jaune sounding nervous "oh, I see. So! Like did you hand out parachute for us?"
You answer his question "no, You will be using your own landing strategy."
Jaune "uh huh, That. What exactly is a land str– AAAAAHhh!–"
