A small group of people had gathered around a campfire, playing simple songs on guitars and dancing with their feet keeping rythmn. Sounds of joyous laughter was intertwined in the strumming of the guitar, as if forming its own musical tune. A small distance away, the Wolf and the Jaguar watched.
"We should join them, La Muerte. It looks fun." The Jaguar offered, smiling at her friend.
"Nah, nah, we're uninvited." The Wolf insisted, with a bit of a chuckle.
That chuckle, however, was one that spoke louder than his words. It was a chuckle that said "I want to join them, too. Don't let me say no!"
"Ah, come on! They won't see us!" The Jaguar coaxes.
"Oh, alright. alright, Lets go." The Wolf rolled his eyes with a snicker, following the Jaguar as they emerged from their hiding place.
The two made their way to the fiesta, seeing that one song had ended and one was just about to begin. People were pairing up left and right and everyone was getting ready to dance.
"I suppose, 'When in Rome', am I right?" The Wolf said, offering his paw to the Jaguar.
"Good idea!" The Jaguar said, taking it.As the song started up, they joined the other dancers in dance, copying their movements yet making some of their own. As they danced, little did they know they caught the attention of a little girl who was there with her parents.
Their fun lasted a while before they mutually agreed to take a break, pausing their dancing to catch their breath.
The two then went off to the side, the Jaguar striking up a conversation about measles or something.
"esscuse me?" A small voice rang out.
The two glanced down, seeing a small girl looking up at them. She held in her tiny arms two cups with what appeared to be water in them.
"you...you guys danced really good...and uh...you might be firsty.."
The little girl's kindness tugged on The Jaguar's heartstrings. The Wolf seemed to be touched as well, crouching down and taking the two cups from the child gently.
"Gracias, pequeña dama." He said, smiling beofre standing back up and passing one of the cups to the Jaguar.
"¡De nada! ¡Que te diviertas!" The child smiled before hurrying off to her mother.
"What a sweet girl." The Jaguar cooed.
"Mhmm. Her mother raised her well."
