A crisp breeze filled the air, gently shaking the world as it passed by. Up in the sky, the moon was full and bright, basking down upon the earth as if with a greeting to the people below. In one particular spot, the two friends were laying down in the cool grass, relieved that they could have a moment to relax amidst all the chaos of the world.
"Lobo?" The Jaguar turned over, glanding at the Wolf, who glanced back.
"What's up?"
"This whole wishing star nonsense got me thinking. If you could have a wish of your own, what would it be?"The Wolf pondered the question for a moment, propping himself up on his elbows and sighing. After what appeared to be a great deal of thought, the Wolf finally answered.
"I...I don't really have anything I really want."
"Oh, come on, Lobito. Anything?"
"Fine, fine. If I could have a wish, it would probably be that people stop dying in such agonizing ways. It's not always fun to have to hear people beg for death, ya know?"A smile crept across the Jaguar's face as she slowly nodded.
"Now its your turn, Gatita. What's your wish?"Laying back down on the grass, the Jaguar thought hard about this question. Any wish, in the whole world. What could she want in life?
"I guess I understand not really knowing what you could wish for, mi amigo. I have almost anything I could want in life."
"Hey, you still-"
"I know I know," The Jaguar laughed, "I do have one wish, though."
"Let's hear it."
"You're gonna think its silly."
"I won't. I promise."
"Promise?"
"Si."
"Alright.."The Jaguar then sat up as the Wolf watched her.
"I would wish for happiness for those I care about."The two sat in silence for a second, thinking about their wishes.
"That's...that's a good wish, Gatita. Kinda puts mine to shame." The Wolf chuckled.
"No, it doesn't! You had a good wish, too!"
"I know, I know.."
