As the two continued their trek, the ground suddenly began to shake under them. They could hear the sounds of panic in front of them as a wall quickly grew up behind them, trapping them inside of whatever was forming. Then, almost as quickly as it began, the shaking stopped, and the two were bathed in darkness.
"Lobo?" The Jaguar called out, feeling the wall to try and make sense of where she was.
"I'm ok. You alright?"
"Si. Where are we?"
"No clue."
The Jaguar then felt herself bump against someone, yelping and falling back. She felt her arm get caught by the person she bumped into.
"Gatita? Is that you?"
"there you are.." The Jaguar sighed, standing up and grabbing a bit of her friend's cloak in her paws.
The Wolf quickly began walking in one direction, with a bit of light being seen up ahead.
"What's that?" The Jaguar asked.
"Shhhh...Listen."
The Jaguar listened closely, hearing the sounds of a certain cat up ahead.
"Its him!"
"Si, Gatita. We have him right where we want him."The Wolf then gently pushed her away, quickly walking ahead towards the light. The Jaguar stayed behind, listening in as the Wolf spoke to Puss. She could also hear the sounds of what appeared to be shattering crystals.
"I was there to witness all of them. Each frivolous end," The Wolf sneered, "But you didn't even notice me because Puss in Boots laughs in the face of death, right? But you're not laughing now."
The Jaguar quickly got closer, getting a clear view of Puss, who's face visibly dropped as he made a realization. Surrounding the two were a few upright Crystals, with the rest in pieces on the ground."You are no bounty hunter," He whimpered, "You are..."
"Death."Another Crystal shattered to the floor.
"And I don't mean it metaphorically or rhetorically or poetically or theoretically or in any other fancy way," The Wolf continued, as The Jaguar quickly hid behind one of the remaining Crystals, peeking out from behind it.
"I'm Death, straight up. And I've come for you, Puss in Boots."
"B-but I'm still alive..." Puss meekly responded, grippng the scroll in his paws close.
The Wolf then let out a chuckle, glancing up at the Jaguar for a second before returning his focus to Puss.
"You know...I'm not a cat person," The Wolf then snickered, "I find the very idea of nine lives absurd. And you didn't value any of them. So, why don't I do us both a favor and take this last one now?"
The Crystal the Jaguar was hiding behind suddenly spoke in Puss's defense.
"That's cheating!"
"Shh. Don't tell." The Wolf said before quickly shattering it with his Sickle, revealing The Jaguar to Puss.
"Run, Puss in Boots! Make the wish!" The other Crystal cried out before being shattered as well."Go ahead, run for it. Makes it more fun for me." The Wolf taunted.
"La Vida! Help me, I beg you!" Puss cried out to The Jaguar as he cowered away from the wolf, "Don't let him take me!""Lo siento, Puss in Boots," The Jaguar muttered, "You have disrespected us for far too long."
Seeing this was a loosing battle, Puss in boots turned around and ran away, clutching the scroll close to his body as he disappeared into the darkness.
"Not bad, Lobo, "The Jaguar chuckled as she turned to face the Wolf, "You really know how to be scary."
"Gracias, Gatita. You're not too bad yourself."
