She walks down the street and sees Matt waiting for her. She walks right up, "hey," she reaches out her arm and he takes it.

"Hey!" He smiles and wraps his arm in the crook of hers.

"Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise," he says. They start walking and he seems to guide her.

They slowly make their way to a small restaurant. "We should be right in front of it. Valintino's." He says. Sure enough, that's what the sign says.

"Yep," she nods. They both go in and wait by the front. A waitress named Nina comes over and brings them to their table. She pulls the chair out for Matt and hands them menus.

"Do you need time for drinks?" She says.

She looks at Matt and they both nod. She walks away to tend to other customers, "this place feels fancy," Clara says, looking for the drinks menu.

He chuckles, "not really. I hope you like Italian," he says.

She nods, "I hope so too... I am Italian."

"Really?"

"Yep, first generation," she sighs, "anyway, how's your first client?"

He sensed the way she tensed when talking about where she's from and her family but he ignores it, he's not going to push her on the subject, "she's good. A little frightened after everything that happened but she got lucky."

"Yeah, I heard she was attacked a few nights ago," Clara begins to say but the waitress comes back over.

"Drinks?" She says. Matt ordered a beer and Clara ordered a martini. The waitress rushes back to get them.

"Who attacked her?" She probes as soon as the women's gone.

He sighs, "not entirely sure. The police keep saying they're running it down but I don't think they are. She was lucky... the Man in the Mask showed up and saved her."

The waitress sets their drinks down and Clara takes a sip of hers, "and people still think he's the bad guy," she shakes her head.

An older woman from the table next to them leans towards her, "he is a bad guy. The real heroes are the avengers. They saved the city. The masked man just goes around hurting people. It's evil."

Her husband looks at them apologetically, "come on, Ginny. Leave the couple alone," he swiftly pulls her from her seat and she staggers a big, clearly drunk.

"Heroes my ass," she mutters under her breath as the waitress comes back for food orders. "But let's forget about that. I'll have the cacio e pepe."

They wandered out of the restaurant. Luckily, their lunch wasn't only talking about vigilantes and the avengers. Of course, it comes back up as they walk out.

"You don't seem to like the Avengers," he states as they walk down the sidewalk, "why?"

She sighs, "eh, I just don't like them." Of course, it isn't just that.
