"How's Charlie?" Brett asks right as she approaches the desk.

"He's doing good. Still got a long road to recovery, however," Clara nods. She smiles, "why couldn't it have been the bad cops, am I right?"

"You said it," he smiles before attending to the man standing at the counter.

Clara joins Blake and Hoffman in the small room they've been using for the task force. So far, they haven't found anything important. "I've been through all of the crime scenes and where he's shown up. There's nothing significant about it."

"Nothing strange at all?" Hoffman asks. Carl Hoffman was one of the nicer detectives out of the two. Christian Blake, however, was the worst. He never believed victims and treated them like shit.

She thinks for a few seconds before taking out her notebook, "yeah, actually. There were a few times he would stop and talk to the victims he was beating on. Now, most of the time, he was just beating the shit out of them so this was unusual," she flips through the notebook, "but none of the cameras picked up sounds or anything."

"Give me the list of all the specific scenes where he interrogated the victims. Then get me the victims names," Blake demands. Clara nods and leaves the room, returning to her desk where she had notes of everything.

After going through and getting a list of all the victims, Blake and Hoffman sent her to do the questioning. Of course, that meant she was going to interrogate inmates. Clara already called the warden, and he gathered all of the inmates into different rooms for interrogation.

The warden and several guards walk with Clara through the cell block as inmates yell obscenities at her and reach out through the bars. She keeps her hand on by her holster, despite the warden having locked her gun in a safe box before entering the prison grounds. When they approach the room, she sees the first inmate she's questioning. He's a tall man named John Russell. When she sits down across from him, he scowls at her.

"Mr Russell, I'm Detective Marinetta of the 15th precinct with the NYPD. I'm here to ask you some questions, which I am aware the Warden has told you about. I am also aware you waived your counsel, is that right?"

He slowly looks at her, bottom up, before nodding, "that's right."

She opens a file which contains snapshots from the camera footage, "when going through CCTV footage of your... fight with the Man in the Mask, I noticed that he was interrogating you. What was he talking about?"

He looks around, making eye contact with the warden, "he wasn't saying anything. You must be mistaken."

Clara shakes her head, "I'm not mistaken. Now, tell me what he said or I'll be tempted to add obstruction of justice to your prison sentence, how does that sound?"

The man sighs, "he wanted to know about my employer."

"Your employer?"

"I told him that I work for Union Allied Construction, which is the truth. I don't know why he asked and he didn't say anything after that," the man looks to the warden, who, unbeknownst to Clara, nods.
