You took a deep breath, "I'm not who you think I am. I'm..."

Ring. Ring.

The melody of your ringtone interrupted you mid-sentence, buzzing against the wooden nightstand. Before Dream could turn to look at the caller ID you jumped over to grab the device with urgency. "I have to take this!"

A bewildered Dream watched as you barely managed to catch yourself from falling to the ground from the speed you escaped the room with.

Once you walked down into your room, shutting the door behind you to prevent any eavesdropping, you answered the call. "Wilbur? How did you get my number?"

"Hello to you too," amusement clearly laced in his voice, "Y/n."

Did he just call you Y/n?

"What do you want?" From what little information you knew about Wilbur, you knew that it was useless to fight with him.

You heard a laugh come from the phone, "Not confessing are we?"

You growled at his cockiness, "What are you talking about?"

"Let's try something, a game let's say," you rolled your eyes, "call it to practice for this little act your putting up." He didn't give you any time to respond before continuing, "if you really are Rose, tell me where we were supposed to leave for before you broke up with me and got married."

You paused, you knew this. Rose couldn't stop gushing that day. "The mountains."

"Wrong." His cockiness was starting to really irritate you. "That's the story Rose and I agreed we'd tell others when in actual fact, we were just going to stay in and watch movies."

You scoffed, "whatever."

"How did I confess to you? I want every single detail."

This was getting ridiculous but you attempted to answer nonetheless, maybe if you just did it would end the conversation and get to the point faster. "We were watching the sunset together and got swept up in the beauty of it. You held me in your arms, looked me in the eyes an-"

"Wrong. Again. That's the story Rose and I agreed to tell others." Ok now, this was getting weird. Sure you didn't really know anything about how their relationship worked but the fact that they had taken these weird loops was concerning you. "The actual confession? A seagull pooped on her head and I offered to help her clean it. Rose was so touched that she confessed first," his tone shifted from an admiring one to bumptious. "You're Y/n."

You're screwed.

"Why are you pretending to be Rose, Y/n? Where's the real Rose?" Panic rose in your chest. and his next words most definitely didn't help especially with their strong seriousness. "Give me a good reason why I shouldn't expose you to Dream this instant!"
