Back in Japan, Kei wakes up to the smell of breakfast from the dojo's kitchen. He slowly got out of his bed and went to the showers to get ready for his day. The cool water felt good on his sore back from falling of the poles the day before into the river.
As soon as he was done showering up, he got out of the shower and got into his samurai robes to head to breakfast. He checked himself in the mirror while brushing his hair and checking his robes for any stains. Once everything was all checked outs he grabbed his samurai sword and headed his way towards the dojo kitchen.
Once in the kitchen, he grabbed a plate and got some eggs, toast and fruit, then went to his table to eat. When he was eating the mean samurai Goga came over to him, "Look everyone it's the wimpy samurai named Kei." Everyone began to laugh at Kei and point at him.
Goga expected Kei to run away, but this time Kei stood his ground. He walked over to Goga and looked him straight in the eyes, "You know Goga, you might think your tough, but truth is that you are scared of being defeated by another samurai." Kei walked around Goga still giving him a Death stare, "One day I will be become a true samurai and you will regret messing with me."
The whole dojo clapped at Kei's words and Goga marched away more angry at Kei for humiliating him in front of the fellow samurai warriors. As Kei finished up his breakfast, the sound a near by gong went off, signaling it was time for samurai training to begin.
Yo-ka stepped out of his dojo and looked at his samurai warriors, "Today we train hard, stay focused on your tasks at hand and you will be true samurai warriors that will protect Japan from anyone danger."
Yo-ka walked over to Kei, "I wanna make sure you train hard today Kei, I will be watching you today during your training so I can see how you improve." Kei nodded and walked over to the river with the poles, grabbed the bamboo stick with the weights and jumped on the first pole and began to focus on his balance.
He focused on the pole in front of him, as the other samurai gathered around him. Goga pushed some other samurai out of his way to watch Kei up close and he grabbed a rock from the ground. Kei looked at Goga and his legs began to shake again, but Kei looked forward towards the poles in front of him. As Goga threw the rock, Kei jumped to the second pole and landed perfectly on the tip of the pole.
This made Goga very angry and he grabbed another rock off the ground, then aimed it towards Kei. Kei focused on his balance and looked at the third pole in front of him to get ready to jump to it. Goga threw his rock as Kei jumped and landed on the third pole without trouble. In front of Kei was the last pole and he looked at it destained to get to it, without trouble he kept his balance and hopped onto the last pole.
The samurai cheered Kei on, as Kei jumped on the to the other side on the river and landed perfectly on his feet. Yo-ka came over to Kei with a big smile on his face, "You are ready for the next step to becoming a true samurai Kei, I'm very impressed with your progress." Yo-ka then led Kei to another side of the grounds to start his true training as a samurai warrior.
He stood in front of some dummies and looked at Kei, "Your next step to becoming a true samurai warrior, is to learn how to use your katana, I want you to learn to fight and defend yourself against your enemies is that clear?" Kei nodded, "Yes master Yo-ka I understand." Yo-ka then walked over to the other samurai to check on their progress.
Kei looked at the wooden spinning dummies and took out his katana. He lifted his katana in the air and started hitting the wooden spinning dummies. With every hit the dummies spun in his direction and Kei ducked from its strikes. Faster that Kei hit the faster the dummies tried to strike at him. He was doing well, until Goga came over and tripped Kei, the wooden dummy struck Kei right over his head and knocked him out.A few minutes later, Kei woke up in the infirmary in the dojo. He had a bandage around his head and he felt rather light headed. He looked around to see that Yo-ka, talking to Goga very angrily, "I told you not to do anything to Kei Goga, you're breaking samurai code."
Goga looked at Yo-ka, "He doesn't deserve to be a samurai Yo-ka, he is a disgrace to the dojo." Yo-ka lifted his katana at Goga, " You listen to me Goga, if you harm Kei one more time, your samurai days will be over." Yo-ka turned to leave, when without warning Goga grabbed his katana and stabbed Yo-ka in the heart.
Yo-ka screamed in pain and landed on his knees onto the ground. Goga laughed as Kei got out of his bed and ran towards Yo-Ka's body, then got down on his knees next time him, " Kei, you must take care of the others, you are the leader of this dojo now, I'm afraid my time here on this earth has come to an end." Kei began to cry, "I'm just a beginner samurai, how can I lead the dojo without knowing how?"
Yo-ka looked at Kei, "In time you will Kei, you are meant to be a true leader I have faith in you to help the samurai to keep this country safe." Yo-Ka's eyes then closed shut and his body went motionless. Kei looked angrily at the damage Goga had done and then looked at Goga himself, "Goga I banish you from the dojo, you are no longer welcome here." Goga laughed, " What are you and the other samurai going to do about it?"
The other samurai lifted Goga up and took him the palace gates, they opened the gates and threw Goga out. They then shut the gates of the palace and looked at Kei, " What shall we do master Kei?" Kei looked at the samurai, "We must continue training hard, Yo-ka would want to continue in honor to protect our country."
The samurai nodded and went to the grounds to continue training. Kei picked up Yo-ka's body and took it to the river behind the palace. He placed Yo-Ka's body in boat and pushed it out of the dojo over the waterfall. Yo-ka's body was at peace and Kei was now the leader of the dojo and had to help Japan fight any invaders who enter the country.
