The next day in Japan, Kei woke up the other samurai with the gong on the grounds. He was destined to prove to the other samurai that Yo-ka made the right choice, making him the samurai master of the dojo.
He slowly went to the kitchen to start making his morning cup of green tea. He then helped the chefs to make the morning breakfast for his samurai warriors. As soon as the warriors sat down with their breakfast, Kei stood in front of them and began to speak, " Last night we lost our dear samurai master Yo-ka, who died in the hands of Goga, who was banished from this dojo."
The samurai looked at Kei and began to look sad, "We must be strong and continue our training to fight evil, later we will have memorial in Yo-ka's honor." The samurai nodded, " We trust you Kei, Yo-ka choose you for a reason."
The samurai then continue to eat their breakfast and Kei went to grab his cup of tea, then went to his samurai quarters to get ready for his daily training too. He might be the samurai master now, but he still has lots of training to become a true samurai. Kei got out of his samurai robes and into his samurai uniform, then grabbed his katana that was hanging on the wall.
Kei then went back to the masters tower to sound the gong, signaling the other samurai it was time for training to begin. He then started to make his own way to the training grounds to start his samurai training with others. He slowly made his way to the spinning wooden dummies and raised his katana to start. He started whacking the dummies left and right super hard. He was doing well as the dummies spun and took their chances at hitting him.
Moments later, the dummies stopped swinging at him, telling him that he had defeated in them battle. The other samurai came over and cheered for Kei's success defeating the wooden spinning dummies. Kei thanked his fellow samurai warriors and walked onto the next part of the training grounds. The next step to being a true samurai was to fight another samurai in hand to hand combat.
One of the other samurai stepped in front of Kei and dropped his katana, then raised his fist, "Are you ready to fight me Kei?" Kei lowerred and then dropped his katana at his side, " Yes I'm ready." The other samurai by the name of Shoya nodded and waited for the signal from the other samurai to start the fight. Another samurai nodded at Kei and Shoya, then Kei lifted his fist to take a strike at Shoya.
Shoya dodged Kei's strike and hit Kei on the face, leaving a big red mark on Kei's cheek. Shoya took several strikes at Kei without him able to return any blows. He was starting to question
Yo-Ka's decision to make him a samurai master and started to lose hope that he would never prove himself worthy. At this moment , Shoya took a blow at Kei's stomach, knocking Kei to the ground in severe pain.
Shoya stopped hitting Kei and got down his knees next to him, "You need to learn to protect yourself, even without your weapon master Kei, I believe you can do it." Shoya then helped Kei up and Kei turned to the samurai, "Well done my samurai warriors, training is over for the day, let's go get ready to honor our lost samurai master Yo-ka, go get dressed in your best kimono and meet me in the gardens." The other samurai nodded and headed back to their quarters to get dressed in their kimonos for Yo-ka's memorial.Moments later, Kei and the other samurai walked to the gardens with candles in their hands , leading a honorable march in Yo-ka's honor. Kei lead the samurai to the garden, where a picture of Yo-ka was waiting for them.
Kei laid his candle onto a table next Yo-ka's picture. The other samurai did the same, then they took their seats in front of Yo-ka's picture and waited for Kei to speak, " Tonight we honor the loss of our dear master Yo-ka, he was a great samurai master, we will always remember him and continue to fight in his honor."
Kei then handed out a glass to each of the samurai and poured some green tea in each of them. He then went back to the front of the other samurai, "Here is to Yo-ka, a great samurai master who will always be remembered as one of us." They all raised their glasses and drank down their green tea.
Kei then turned back to the other samurai, "Now let us go rest for tomorrow's training, we have a long day a head of us all." The other samurai went to their quarters and got ready to go to sleep for the night. Kei went around turning off the lights in each of the samurai's quarters. Once all the lights where off in all the quarters, Kei went back to his quarters in his samurai dojo.
He took off his samurai uniform and hung it up in his closet. He then slipped into his pjs and got into bed, then put on some deep sleep music. For a while Kei couldn't sleep, he couldn't stop thinking he wasn't meant to be a the samurai master. He was thinking Yo-ka might have made a mistake having Kei take his place.
Kei rolled over on his side and looked outside at the stars. He looked rather sad that Yo-ka was now gone finally at rest up with the rest of the samurai masters. He then pulled up his blankets and began to shut his eyes and started to drift off to sleep, since the next day was a new day and another day of samurai training for him and his fellow warriors.
