Hospital in Modesto

      Back in Modesto, Faith woke up in the emergency room with a lot of pain in her body. She had bandages on her arms to cover her cuts from the car accident earlier and a pain in her lower back. She looked around her room and found her dad next to her looking rather worried.
     When Hyde saw that Faith was awake, he got up and held her right hand and knelt next to her, "Honey, you're are awake , I was worried that you would never wake up." Faith look at her father with tears in her eyes, "Dad my car got totaled, I'm sorry I didn't mean to." Hyde looked Faith in her beautiful brown eyes, " I'm not mad at you , it was the person who crashed into you that's their fault."
    Faith continued to cry, " I can't even afford to buy a new one." Hyde looked at his daughter, "Don't worry Faith I will buy you a new Lexus." He then got up and hugged Faith in her hospital bed. At this, the doctor came in looking at Faith's chart, " Okay, Faith you look like we can release you, we have to prescribe you some pain meds and give you some fresh bandages to change with the old ones later."
    The doctor then gave Faith and Hyde some papers to sign, he then helped Faith to get out of the IV's out of her left arm and get the heart monitor strips off her chest. He then gave Faith her clothes and she went to change into her clothes. She then handed her hospital gown back to the nurse and then headed out to meet up with her dad in his car.
    Once she got in Hyde's car, Hyde looked at her, "So are you up to having a daddy daughter day today?" Faith smiled and kissed his right cheek, " I would love to have a daddy daughter day with you dad." Hyde then took out two flash cards with two different locations to go to, " To start, pick one card to pick where to go to breakfast." Faith took the bottom card out of Hyde's hand, "What did you get?"
    Faith looked at her card, "It says IHOP." Hyde smiled, "Off to IHOP we go then." Hyde turned on his car and drove off towards IHOP to have breakfast to start their day.

     Moments later, Hyde and Faith finally made it to IHOP. They got out of his car and went inside to take their seat and waited for a waiter or waitress to help them. As soon as they decided what to order, a waiter came over, " Have you decided what you want to order?"
    They nodded and Hyde turned to the waiter, "I would like to order the eggs Benedict with fresh fruit." The waiter then turned to Faith, " I will take the same as my father." The waiter smiled at them, then took the menus from them, and then went to the kitchen to give the chefs their order.
   As they waited, Hyde looked at Faith, "You have grown up so fast Faith, I can't believe you will be graduating this year." Faith then looked down at the floor rather upset, " What's the matter Faith, you look rather sad ?" Faith looked at her father with tears in her eyes, "I got stuck with a dumb chemistry teacher who hates Cherokee Indians, he humiliated me in front of the whole class."
   Hyde looked shocked, "Oh if your cousin Ashley Purdy were here, he would kick that teachers ass out the door within seconds." Hyde then looked at his daughter again, "Everything is going to be fine Faith, you are smart women I believe you can pass this class, even with a stubborn teacher teaching it."
   Hyde hugged Faith tight, just then their food arrived at their table. They both ate their food in peace and once done, Hyde paid for the bill and they went back to his car. Hyde then pulled out two more flash cards, "This is the next place we go for a shopping spree." Faith thought for moment and took the top card this time, "It says Barnes and Noble." Hyde started up his card yet again, " Off we go to Barnes and Noble." He backed out of the parking lot and then headed towards the freeway to head to Barnes and Noble to go shopping.

      Once at Barnes and Noble, Hyde and Faith entered the store and Faith looked around the store with a huge smile on her face. The store had  aisle after aisle full of books that she always wanted. She took off towards the Japanese history books first and then towards the thrillers. She took a while to decide what to get and finally grabbed her choice of books, then went up to meet up with her dad.
    Hyde paid for Faith's books and they headed back towards of his car. They got in the car yet again and this time Hyde took out a blindfold, "Put this on, I have a surprise for you." Faith took the blindfold from her fathers hand and put it over her eyes. Hyde then started his car and headed towards their next destination.

    Once at their next location, Hyde got out of his car and helped Faith out of his car, "Okay you can take off your blindfold off." Faith took off her blindfold and looked to see her dad standing in front of a new Lexus car, "Surprise Faith here is your new Lexus car I promised."
      Faith hugged her dad, "Thanks dad, your the best." Faith went to her car and hopped in looking around her new Lexus sports car with a huge smile on her face.

Hyde then opened the passenger side door and hopped in, "I got one more surprise for you." He handed Faith an envelope and smiled at her, "I was going to save this till you graduate, but it seems like you need this now more than ever."
Faith opened the envelope that Hyde gave her and opened her mouth in complete shock. For inside was a plane ticket for a trip to Japan for a month, "Dad, this is the best gift ever, when do I leave for Japan?"
Hyde smiled at his daughter, " Your trip starts tomorrow morning , at 6:00am you take your flight to Japan to spend a whole month their by yourself." Faith hugged her father, "I love you dad." Hyde hugged Faith tight, " I love you too sweetheart."
Hyde then got back into his own car and they both drove back home to get a good nights sleep before Faith's trip the next morning.
