I was no longer in the forest. I was in some room. It was small and no one was in here but me. At least that's what I thought. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a figure standing in the corner of the room. When I turned around, it was Damien.

"Where are we?" i asked.

I was dizzy and confused. One minute we are in the forest and i'm wishing on my birthday candle and the next, we are in some room somewhere.

"We are in my home." he said.

"This is your home?"

"No this is just a room."

"I'm confused."

"This is just a room in my home. This is also your home too."

"W-what?"

My head is pounding. I'm not understanding anything. How do we have the same home? Are we secretly related or something?

"When you wished on the birthday candle, your wish is coming true. Your gonna know the truth about everything. Even about your parents,"

"My parents?"

He nodded his head. I stood up and walked towards him. I stood only a couple of feet away.

"You knew my parents?"

"I didn't just know them, i worked for them. They sent me to keep an eye on you when you were a baby."

"I thought I met you when I was six."

"You officially met me when you were six, but you knew me longer than that."

I was starting to get a little mad. He took my hand and put it against his heart. I could feel it beating under his shirt. It was beating fast, like it was actually gonna pop out of his chest. I read about that. That's how some people feel when they are in love. Damien could never be in love with me. I would never learn to return that love. Besides, we have been friends forever, and I would like it to stay that way.

"Follow me." he said.

We left that small room and entered into a long hallway. Everywhere i looked, there was diffrent doors of a wide range of colors. It was like walking in between two rainbows. I have never seen such a long hallway. Damien stops in front of a door that was forest green.

He turns on his heel and flashes a cocky smile at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Are you ready to learn the truth?" He asked

"I guess."

To be honest, I really wasn't. I have been wanting to meet my birth parents. I always dreamed of it. Now, I'm nervous. What if they don't like me? Did they even love me? I have so many questions. And, the biggest question I have right now... Where am I?

When he opened the door, we fell into a room full of flowers and diffrent plants. It  was so beautiful.

"Welcome to Apolloa." damien said

"What is this place?"

"I told you it's our home."

All i did was look at him curiously. It looks like he changed clothes. When did that happen? He was wearing a hunter green uniform. The kind of uniform you would wear at a boarding school.

"What's with the outfit?"

He looked down and then looked at me.

"Oh, this is my guard uniform. I have to wear it when i step foot in here."

"What room is this?"

"The throne room. This is where you would usually find your parents when they are not on super long journeys."

"My parents?"

Tears started to fill my eyes. I wanted to break down and just cry. So damien did really know my parents. Why did he choose now to tell me. I collapsed on the floor and buried my face in my hands.

"Don't cry. There is more to why you were seperated from your parents and there is more stuff you need to know about me, this place, and even yourself."

I looked up at him and he wiped away my tears.

"Come with me."

He grabbed my hand and led me to the center of the giant room. In front of me were three thrones. All three of the thrones were golden and had diffrent flowers sprouting out of it's back. Kinda freaky if you ask me.

"Looks like they are not here. Maybe we could come back tomorrow so you can see them."

"See my parents? It looks like you were trying to introduce me to the king and queen."

He gave me this intense look and then the pieces started to fit. My parents are the king and queen. Which means, that third throne is meant for me.

"Come on we have to get out of here." damien said.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the throne room. In one quick flash, we were back in the forest. It looks the same from when we left. Damien bent down to pack up the picnic basket. I'm so confused. How did we get back so quickly. Damien owes me a whole bunch of answers.

"Let's get back before your foster parents notice how long you've been away. I don't want to get you into any trouble."

We went back the way we came and got back on the bus to head home.

When we arrived back at my house, damien looked at me kinda funny.

"What?" i said.

"Nothing. I'll come back tomorrow. I want you to meet your parents and know everything. You deserve it. Don't tell anyone about apolla though."

"I won't."

"Good. I'll pick you up tomorrow around nine a.m. See you then."

Then he left without giving me a hug. That's weird. He always gives me a hug before he takes off.

I head up into my room, shower and put on my boy shorts and tank top. What a day. I didn't expect my birthday to be so suprising. I layed down in my bed and started to think. Ok so far my birth parents are king and queen of another world and damien knows them. That's all i can put together with the information i have. Maybe i could get better clarity on everthing tomorrow.

"Goodnight, and happy birthday to me." i whisper to myself.

I close my eyes and fall into a deep sleep.
