When i woke up the next morning, Damien was looming over me and staring at me. He had an intense look on his face. It was super creepy.
"OK. There is a thing called personal space Damien."
He blinked at me and then he moved away.
"Sorry. My bad Emma."
I sat up and scratched my head.
"I brought this for you." he said.
He handed me a box with a yellow ribbon. It was also kinda big too.
"W-What is this?"
"Open it and find out"
I untied the box and found a beautiful dress inside. It was hunter green and was sparkly and kinda pretty. Just a little girly for my taste.
"Why are you giving me this? You know i hate dresses"
"I know, but this is what your supposed to wear when seeing the king and queen. Er. Um. I mean your parents. You are the princess after all. You have to wear dresses and royal attire while i wear my uniform."
"Speaking of which, do you mind explaining this whole princess situation to me?"
"I think it will be better if your parents explained it to you. It sounds better and easier to understand if they tell you. Now hurry up and get dressed."
Geez. He is being very pushy this morning. All i did was give him a surprising look.
"I'm sorry Emma. Its just, when seeing the king and queen, i can get a little uptight and nervous sometimes. Especially since they trusted me with your life. If anything were to happen to you, they will have my head on a golden platter."
Him nervous. I should be the one who is nervous. I'm the one who is about to meet my parents after sixteen years. That place, I wanna know if that was the place I was born. I want to know what kind of life I would have had if they didn't give me up. I wanna know if they even wanted to give me up, or, did they want to keep me but had no choice but to give me up.
I had no choice but to run into the bathroom and put on this stupid thing.
It took me a little while to freshen up and do my hair. This dress actually fits. I have to admit, it looks cute on me.
When I came out of the bathroom, Damien just stared at me.
"You look beautiful Emma." I rolled my eyes but I knew he meant it.
"Are you ready?" He asked.
"Only if you are."
Instead of taking a bus we went and he rented a car. He drove us to that same forest and we went to where we had my birthday picnic.
"Alright, now close your eyes." Damien said
"Why?"
"Because i can't let you see the passage way. it's too bright and it'll strain your eyes." i was confused, but i did close my eyes. i felt a huge gush of wind and then he took my hand and pulled me towards the wind.
"OK, you can open them now." he said. We were back in that same place from yesterday. We were in the hall with all the colorful doors. He found the same door that led to the throne room. i took a deep breath while he looked at me for the cue. i nodded my head and we walked through. The place looked a little different from yesterday. it looked a little bigger and there was alot of people in there two. there was something strange about them too. their ears were pointed. almost like elf ears. There were some of the people by a fountain and they played beautiful music. i wondered what song they were playing because i never heard it before. we walked to where the thrones were and there was two people sitting in them. a man and a woman. They must be the king and queen. My parents. my mom, the queen, was really beautiful and she looked almost exactly like me. we have the same hair and the same nose but i can tell that i have my dad's eyes. their ears were also pointed. when we were in front of them, Damien got on one knee and bowed. i then noticed his ears were pointed as well.
