Discovering Truth

Chapter 12

I was a little frightened, but it was going to happen, I knew that. I just didn't expect for it to happen so soon. I could here people laughing, chatting and drinking. I didn't move much. I was able to feel around and i could see that all my weapons on my belt were smaller, like little charms. It must be some kind of defensive mechanism so they would think i don't have any weapons on me. Thank You mom.

"What do you think our leader wants with her anyway?" I hear a woman's voice say. I know why the leader wants me.

"I heard he is gonna have her fall in love with him so she can help take over the apollioan kingdom." Another woman said. They started laughing and chatting more about how i was unfit to be his lover, and any other woman would do. At least i know the motive behind the love potion. I could tell I was in a almost public setting. I heard a set of chains rattling,and some of the people in the room hushed.

"Why hello princess." A man said. His voice was deep and smooth. I can tell why the ladies would be talking about him. I really want to know where i am right now.

"Our great leader, here is the potion you requested." that eerie voice said. I felt someone's face in front of mine. I moved my face away.

"Now princess, i really don't want to hurt you, or force you, just take the potion like a good girl, or things will get ugly." The leader said. Should I just go ahead and take it or should i resist and fight back? It is fate, and i must accept it. I turned my head, and i knew we were face to face. If only i could see this guy's face. I felt the tip of the vile at my lips. "Open up" he said. I parted my lips slightly, and felt the warm liquid travel down my throat. It tasted awful, like that bubblegum medicine Damien made me drink whenever i got sick.

"Good princess. Now the blindfold will remain over your eyes until the potion kicks in. Then I will remove it for you." he said. He chuckled and then i heard him leave. "No one bother her. Just make sure she doesn't leave her cage." i heard that eerie voice say. So i must be in an open area. I heard more people chatting, and i heard the clicking of glasses. Do they have me on some kind of display or something? I hope the guys find me soon, i don't want that creep to come back.

About an hour has past when i could feel the effects of the potion kicking in. The guy didn't come back yet. I felt hot, and my heart was beating loudly in my ears. "Please hurry guys." i whispered to myself. Some time passed and i couldn't really keep track. Maybe a few minutes. Then i heard a huge door burst open. Somewhere far but in this room. I heard glasses fall and crash, and swords clashing. People running and screaming, and then some fighting. I heard slashes on the bars of the cage. "Don't let them escape" The leader shouted. I could hear him on the far side. Then i felt someone lift me over their shoulder. "Don't worry Emma i have you." It was Damien. "Ash I got her!" damien yelled. He ran and i can feel the wind zip past. I felt a set of hands take me from Damien. "I'll get her out." Ash said. Then a huge cold whipped around us. Then i felt Damien's presence in the gush with us. Everything went silent. Then i felt someone hoist me up and they both started running.

After running for a long time, they set me down and i felt a blanket under me. Were we back at the camp we set up last night? Is it even day? "We can't stay for long. They will find us here. We have to move quickly." Damien said. I could feel them moving and hurrying and the horses were trotting around. One of them, i don't know if it was ash or Damien, but they were cutting the cuffs on my wrists and ankles. When they fell off i felt relieved. I rubbed my wrists and checked my belt. Just by touching it the weapons and pockets returned to normal size. I stood up but my legs felt a little weak. Luckily someone caught me before i fell on my face."I got you." Ash said.

"Quick we must hurry. Emma don't take the blindfold off." Damien said. "Ok" i said. He led me to the horse and i climbed on. Then he climbed up behind me, wrapped his arms around so he could feel the reins. Then we took off. The horses ran out of the cove, and through the forest. I know ash was beside us because i could hear his horse running along side us. The horses leaped a couple of times over fallen trees and logs.
