Discovering Truth

Chapter 10

I had to sit down and tell them what she just said. They both looked at me with worry and then they looked at each other with concern. They were very quiet so i decided to read their minds. They were talking to each other telepathically. I just decided to listen in.

"Damien we can't let her do this. The withered woods is dangerous. You and me know what it's like in there."

"I know that, but we have to. The oracle told her too. We have no choice. Let's just enjoy the rest of tonight. We leave in the morning for withered woods and that's final."

"Fine. But i would like to spend time with her alone. i can't enjoy my night if your with her kissing her neck in front of me."

"Fine." I decided to speak out loud. Just to end this weird moment.

"Um guys, you know i can hear your thoughts right." They both looked flustered when i said that.

"Damien, why don't we go play some games. Ash i'll meet you by the stage in about an hour."

"Sounds good." ash said. Then he left.

Damien and i walked around playing games. He won me a teddy bear. It was dressed to look like a sailor. Absolutely adorable. We got on a couple rides and we even took photos in a photo booth. After about an hour I went to meet ash by the stage. We stayed there and pretty much talked. We walked for a little bit and he bought me cotton candy. I offered to share some but he didn't want any. Near the end of the night, we played a balloon dart game together. I wasn't that good, but I still enjoyed myself. Ash ended up wining the game and he picked some weird looking keychain.

"Why you pick that?"

"It's charmed to turn into any weapon any time you need it."

"Cool"

"Could come in handy too." Then he gave it to me. i gave him a puzzeled look.

"You might need it tomorrow, besides, i have my own weapons." It was pretty nice of him to give me this. I haven't recieved my official weapon yet from dad or damien. I thought it was nice. Plus i can carry it with me whenever.

Then later that night, Damien came and took me back from Ash. I felt a little weird since they were sharing me and at the same time, fighting over me like I'm the last cookie in the jar. Damien made up some lame excuse saying we had to leave, when according to my mom, parties like these last for days. It was only a few moments and then we were in my room. 

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked him. He looked at me with concern in his eyes. "What is it damien?"

"I don't want you to get kidnapped again and the mere idea of you falling for ash makes me sick. I promised i would protect you with my life."

"I know but you heard the oracle. This is going to happen whether we want it to or not. Listen, i promise to be careful and try to be safe. Okay?" i said. He wasn't buying it. He just looked away from me

"I don't want you kidnapped and i definetely don't want you falling for him. I love you and i'm the only one for you." he was holding me now. It's amazing how much he is confessing to me. It's like i have some kind of spell over him.

"Damien, you are going to have trust me please." I pleaded. He kissed my forehead and then nodded. I smiled.

"Get some rest we need to leave early in the morning as soon as possible." he said. Then he left. I got ready for bed and layed there unable to sleep. The oracles words echoed through my head and took over my thoughts. How am i the key to all the mysteries? What mysteries are there that i have to discover the truth by being in love with ash and damien? I guess going to the withered woods is the way to get some answers. I close my eyes hoping to fall a sleep soon, but i couldn't help but feel cold. Then i could hear a spell being whispered in my ear then i'm knocked out cold.

AN: Okay i know it's been a while since i updated and i know the update is a little short but i'm slowly getting back into my groove from when i first started this story, plus i'm stuck at home with nothing else to do but write so expect more updates on this story from now on and i'm going to try and update my other stories as well. no promises though.
