This should be a Christmas story not a new year story. Sorry, it dragged so long. Life has been lifeing.

           ~21st December, 2021~

Francis sent drafts of so many documents for me to proofread the day before but as I had dedicated it to family, I had a lot to do after breakfast and declined to go to the mall with my nephews especially Nifemi who came yesterday, I spent most of my morning working. As I was working and playing music so was I on a video call with my best friend. They were excited about Kolade more than they should be excited about anything, about me and my love life. They were forcing me to go out with him tonight but with so much work in front of me I was far from interested and because I'm not sure I'm interested in him like that.

"I will just call him later.."

"I am sure he said he wants to get to know you physically."

"But I am working.."

"Ohh but you can ditch work for family." Demola pouts

"I am sure that is my main purpose for coming to Lagos."

"Live life Tumini so some rat like Daniel won't be seducing you."

"Likeee."

I chuckle "You guys are silly... Francis just sent a message..." I read the message and my heart burst with joy "Oh my God. Guyssss!"

"What?" they both chorus

"The advert did seventy percent better in the last three days.

"That's huge, this is the biggest Wanse has ever had in just three days."

"Omo.. I am happy for you boo." Amina smiles "I would have hugged you. I miss you, babe."

"I miss you too. I am so happy I don't even feel like working."

"Have fun babe you deserve all the wins." Demola says "Congratulations, talk later."

"Yes... Bye." Demola goes off leaving Amina and I

"Babe I want you to talk to your sister about Daniel. She needs to know the fraud she's engaged to."

"I am not interested Amina. She should have known he was a fraud four years ago but she decided to fight with her sister and be with him."

"I know you don't mean it. You know you would regret it."

"I'm not going to regret anything." I closed my laptop ending my discussion with Amina in anger, she didn't deserve it but she knew it wasn't time for Tolu's talk. Tolu needs to suffer her choices, when I heard it I was heartbroken, picking Daniel over your sister. Believing Daniel but not your sister, confused me a lot. I would get closure but about telling her who Daniel truly is, she would have to find out herself.

I text Francis back before leaving my room with only my phone. The work I had done was enough for the day. Amina always had the advice to give but she didn't know that at times it never worked, it's always easier to give it than to do it.

Amina might think she's got the best advice but I have one for myself. I won't let people think I'm easy, I may be forgiving but Tolu doesn't exactly deserve my forgiveness just like that. Talk! Talk to Tolu! That may never work. It's two parties involved and I will wait. I'm not doing or acting like the biggest person, I'm not and I may never be.

Mofemi, Sam and Tosin were in the guy's game room upstairs, noticing from the pads in their hands and the quiet house, that they were the only ones left at home. I join Mofe on the L-shaped grey sofa facing a huge smart TV while Sam and Tosin sit on the black rug with PS5 pads in both hands as they play a game. They had a bowl of fruit, chips and three glass cups of wine in their front.
