21: You had one job

Aiko was dropped by her house in the ungodly early hours of the morning to put on a fresh uniform. Hotoki and Nishi were going to drop Aiko off first and then head to Shiketsu afterwards.

Aiko didn't hate school. Well Aiko didn't hate UA.

But she was currently dreading going to class or possibly running into Tris and her NPC friend.

She was tired because obviously they didn't go to bed until Mr Tadashi himself walked from his office across the house to say he could hear them from all the way over there and that it was three in the morning.

Then he shut off the power.

But Aiko was feeling more nervous than tired. She would at least see Mina in class, and Mina will probably ask questions.
Or automatically hate her because she thinks Aiko bullied her much prettier friend and then tell everyone else about the misunderstanding and no one would like her.

'At least I'd still have Nishi and Hotoki.'

Though Aiko did occasionally feel like a third wheel to the two girls that obviously had something going on that just didn't have a name. But those moments were few and far between.

They probably saved all the intimacy for the limo ride to their school.

But Aiko was also running late. As awkward as she felt she still had to jog to class in hopes she would meet the bell.

"I'm not saying that's what actually happened! I'm just saying what I was told!"
Mina said to the group presenting the story to the council.

"You literally had one job." Jirou commented and Mina out her head in her hands.

"I knowwwwww" She whined.

Operation adopt Aiko into the group was currently moving backwards if anything they were scaring her away! And now's she's not even here!

Sure she could just be late. But she could also be skipping because she hates Mina.

"And you said I'd do a bad job! That must be embarrassing." Denki chuckled.

"You would!" Mina snapped and Denki laughed.

"Actually I've interacted with her and didn't do anything to hurt her feelings!" He argued.

"Bullshit! When did you too have any personal interaction without the rest of us?!" Sero said calling his possible bluff.

"Actually I did! Just a few days ago! The same day we agreed to adopt her actually."
He explained. He'd never actually told them what happened.

"Oh really?" Kirishima said obviously not believing it.

"Yes! I was leaving the cafeteria and I heard some buttfaced poophead say something mean to her! Then I gave her a comforting friendly hug." He said leaning back and crossing his arms.

"Buttfaced poophead?" Bakugou scoffed from his desk. The group was around his desk dispite his lack of interaction.

"You're judging... But if I had said
'Assfaced shithead' you wouldn't have said anything!"

"That's because shithead is an actual insult!"
Bakugou argued.

"Wait so who was the buttshit?" Sero asked.

"Shithead, and it was some chick and her blonde sidekick." Denki corrected Sero and waved the question off, because he didn't know who he was talking about or their importance to this situation.

"Wait... Did the shithead have blue hair?"
Mina asked uneasily.

"Yeah actually! Why?"

Mina groaned and covered her face in shame. "That was Tris...." She admitted.

Okay so Tris wasn't the person Mina thought she was! Sure that was on her but now she knows!

"Well now we know she's two faced." Sero observed and Denki nodded.

"Guess I gotta beat her-" Denki said shaking his head.

"You don't need to beat anyone!" Jirou said hitting Kaminari.

"Hey! She called Aiko a fat kid!"
He said flinching away. Jirou stared for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

"Yeah okay we can beat her."
Jirou agreed patting Denki's shoulder as an apology for hitting him earlier.

The thing is what Tris said was even really true. Aiko wasn't "fat" or "obese" or even "over weight" not that there would be anything wrong if she was.
Aiko's body type didn't fit in with the Japanese beauty standards.

Aiko was full figured and curvy with a healthy amount of fat on her stomach and In many countries she'd immediately be seen as beautiful. But in Japan pale girls with more slinder and petite body's seemed to be ideal.

Even the new mutation quirks of the world were "attractive" because of various fetishes that came to life in women with animal-like features.

Pink and blue skin were actually traits people looked out for in modern models.
But people with natural darker skin weren't ideal in Japan.

All of these standards were bullshit but they still lead people to put Aiko down for her appearance.
