Bellamy's POV
Naturally, at the school assembly for our upcoming trip, I sat beside Clarke.
As I was a year above, we didn't get any classes together, but sitting together was very fun. Clarke was trying to listen to the teacher, and I was trying to distract her. Fun indeed.
I gave her a note, saying "knock knock."
She rolled her eyes when she read it but still wrote down "who's there?"
I wrote back, "control freak."
She turned at me and gasped. I could almost hear her anger. I simply smirked at her and nodded for her to write it down.
She begun writing "Cont-"but before she could finish I got the note back and wrote "Now you say 'control freak who?'."
She huffed at me and moved to write something on the note, probably to tell me off, but before she could a small paper ball hit her in the head.
"What the hell?" She whisper-shouted.
We both turned behind to see where that came from when another one hit me in the face.
"Murphy, cut it out!" Clarke scolded.
"Nah, don't feel like it." Murphy grinned.
"You're so annoying. How does anyone put up with you?" Clarke continued.
I decided to stay out of it, having much more fun listening to those two bicker. They're like siblings.
"Not everyone's as lame as you are?"
"Oh so now everyone who doesn't find your childishness fun is lame?"
Murphy opened his mouth to answer but before he could Emori cut in, "Stop that. You're both acting like children." Just like that, Murphy shut his mouth.
"God, you're so whipped." I teased him.
"You wanna talk about being whipped?"
"Shut up, Murphy!" Clarke and I said at the same time.
"How does that always happen?" Octavia muttered, not even even turning to look at us.
"Seriously, it's creepy." Raven agreed.
I was going to answer, but the teacher shushed us and glared as angrily as she could. It wasn't very scary but we got the message.

Clarke's POV
As the dean was talking on and on about the upcoming trip regulations, and the teacher had reprimanded us to stay quiet, we had absolutely nothing to do.
I tried to pay attention but even I grew bored at some point.
Echo leaving the hall caught my eye for a second. I didn't pay her much attention after that, though.
A little after that, I decided to go to the toilets and take a break from this lecture. As I stood up to leave, Bellamy looked at me confusedly.
"Where are you going?"
"Bathroom."
"That's unfair, I want an excuse to leave as well."
He really was a child sometimes. "How is that unfair?" I hissed at him.
And the teacher shushed as again.
I left the hall and headed towards the bathroom. As I opened the door to get in, Echo was getting out.
Thank God, I didn't want to have another awkward and borderline hostile encounter with her.
When I got in the bathroom, I noticed a phone left forgotten on the sink. I picked it up and turned it around in my hand, trying to see if I knew the owner. I hadn't seen this phone before though.
Then, I remembered that Echo had just left the bathroom, and there was no one else in here.
Oh great, now I have to return this to her.
I didn't want to have a reason to interact with her but I couldn't just leave her phone here. I put it in my pocket, and started walking back towards the hall, trying to think of how that conversation is going to go.
I decided to wait until after the assembly was done and give the phone to her. This way, we would all be leaving the school to go home, so my conversation with Echo wouldn't be very long at all.
When we were dismissed and everyone stood up and started heading to the door, I stayed behind.
"Go on guys, I'll catch up with you. I have to ask the teacher something first."
There wasn't any particular reason for lying to them, but I wasn't feeling up to explaining to them that I found Echo's phone in the bathroom and for some inexplicable reason I decided to return it to her.
Our friend group wasn't on very friendly terms with Echo. Not just because she was Bellamy's ex, though Octavia still disliked her for that. Mostly because of how rude she acted towards everyone after their break-up.
I waited for Echo to pack up her things and start leaving the hall as well. I started walking towards her, but then I saw it. She was holding her phone in her hand, texting someone.
So if she has her phone, then what did she need this phone for?
Weird. Really weird.
I put the phone I was holding back in my pocket and left. I would have to find out later.
Bellamy drove Octavia and I home.
Only when I was inside my house, alone, did I take out of my pocket the phone, again.
I started turning it around in my hands again, trying to see any indication on the case of whom it belonged to. There was none, so I had to assume that it was Echo who left it there.
After all, there was no one else in the bathroom after her but me.
After a few seconds, curiosity took over and I switched on the phone. The lock-screen was the one automatically set up. No personal touch whatsoever. That should have set off the first alarm in my head.
There was no password either. Second alarm.
The home-screen was the same as the lock-screen. There were no extra apps. Third alarm.
I pressed the contacts button. None were saved. Fourth alarm.
There was something seriously wrong with this phone. It belonged to Echo alright, but it wasn't hers.
I started suspecting what she would need this phone for, but I didn't want to make any rush decisions, again. Last times we suspected someone for being A we got everything wrong.
My hands started shaking as I decided to check the text messages. I pressed the icon. That was when I saw it.
Only one text sent. None received.
The text said: "Buckle up, bitches. Nothing is as it seems.
-A."Holy shit.
