Bellamy's POV

Waiting for the doctors to update us on Clarke's condition seemed longer than waiting for History classes to finish. And those took on for ages.

I was pacing up and down, trying to distract myself with ridiculous thoughts of History classes. I couldn't let myself think of Clarke, lying in a hospital bed. Or why Clarke was lying in a hospital bed.

I couldn't stop beating myself up for it. I've known something has been wrong for days, yet I did nothing. And from the constant apologies coming from my sister and Raven, I knew this was no accident. Whatever happened to Clarke was connected with their weird behavior and secrets.

I didn't want to think like this while Clarke's condition was still unknown.

Her mother was notified of course, but she was too far away to come immediately. She would get on the road tomorrow. I knew that was what Clarke would have preferred, instead of her mother driving alone before the sun had risen, but I still felt angry at her for not being here. Her only daughter was in danger, right after her husband had passed. How could she not care for Clarke more?

Octavia and Raven were huddled up with Emori, Harper, and Maya, all whispering words of comfort to each other. Lincoln was standing off the side alone, looking at the ground.

Jasper and Monty sat unmoving, silent. They never were silent. Jackson and Miller stood beside them too.

Nothing but the whispering of the girls and my pacing could be heard.

"Come on dude, sit down. Pacing isn't gonna help you, or Clarke. If you sit, you'll feel calmer." Murphy approached me.

"No. I need to keep moving. I need to focus on something else."

Murphy sighed, but before he could think of what to say next, the doctor came in the waiting room.

"Hello everyone. I assume Clarke's guardian is still not here?"

"No doctor." Raven replied.

"To whom shall I speak to then? I understand you came here with two teachers. Where are they?"

"They had to go back to the camp, to take care of the other students, calm them down and all that. You can talk to all of us." Emori explained.

"Very well. She is stable but she remains unconscious. We are almost certain she will be awake by tomorrow, with a few minor injuries."

Clarke's POV

I could hear noises and voices but I couldn't make out who was talking or what they were saying. I tried moving my hand but I couldn't do more than move my fingers.

With that the voices intensified. When I managed to open my eyes, I saw nurses rushing around.I turned my head and Bellamy came into view looking very very worried...

"What is happening?"Were the first words coming out of my mouth

"Oh my god, you're awake.I'm going to go get the doctor."He breathes out.

"No.Get someone else to get the doctor.I don't wanna be alone right now.Please."

I'm so confused.I'm scared.

"Please tell me what happened?"I asked.

"Tell you?I'm not the one who got hit by a fucking car."

Bellamy was clearly agitated. The thing is I had no idea what to tell him.I wasn't very sure what happened either.

I had my suspicions but what I needed was to talk to the girls.
