a/n: also uh.. Golfball won the vote in the last chapter. this chapter is leading into what choosing that option meant.. so uh.. yep! hope you like this chapter and i hope you all are doing well!! :)

Also this chapter is kind of a direct continuation of last one, so if you're confused about this then you may want to look back at the end of the last chapter real quick, but you don't have to.

Puffball sets the basket down outside and stares at the horizon, pondering what she shall do next. Shall she continue making the mysterious machine? Shall she explore? Shall she find the others? Why is she here anyway?

She turns back to her project. So far, it looks like a basket with a few twigs. She furrows her eyebrows, wondering what else she had added subconsciously.

She floats closer and takes a better look- *BANG*

A sort of bullet shoots from the machine and sends Puffball flying backward and into a tree.

But this bullet doesn't hurt, no, it just makes her feel numb. numb until her eyes drift closed. numb until this so-called bullet swims into her overreacting, starved, attention-seeking mind. And this so-called bullet comes in contact with her brain, specifically the cerebrum. This... parasite... latches onto her brain, sending mild or semi-hypnotic waves through her skull.

It sends those waves continuously into her brain without end. The waves begin to turn into music. Calming, moderately-hypnotic music. Music that soothes her worries and calms her nerves... and opens them to the artificial parasite's control.

The parasite then sends severely hypnotic waves through her brain, making her jaw snap shut and her eyes snap open. Though, she is no longer present. In her place is someone else.. something else... and she is no longer in control.

This parasite is... The parasite is in control. and who does the parasite work for? Who controls the parasite?

Golfball.

So theoretically, Golfball is in complete control of Puffball...

She's gone too far.

And now... she seems unstoppable..!

But nobody should ever underestimate what adrenaline and rage can do.

Everyone is loud, yelling, running, stamping their feet... they are all thinking the same thing, feeling the same thing... worry, and fear...

They are distracting. Annoying.

Golfball stamps her foot, causing many to jump. She yells, "SHUT UP," and everyone stops and looks at her. She chuckles, "NOW THAT I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, I HAVE ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMENT!"

Another? Liy groans. Just what she wanted, another announcement from this tyrant. She's been doing a great job at blending into the background, actually.

Under normal circumstances, she would be the one who was to lead or at least attempt that feat. Yet now, with all this death- which is against her beliefs, mind you- she is trying to keep quiet.

Golfball is making her despise tyranny, as she should. Though, Liy is growing to dislike forms of government as a whole. All of it could lead to tyranny in the wrong hands, and no one will know tyranny until it's too late.
