Leafy stares put the window of the small, cramped, claustrophobia-inducing hospital. Everyone left her. They really did. Has she not improved enough mentally to leave this prison?
She and Lollipop seem to be stuck here forever, and Ruby, Gaty, and Pillow did nothing about it. They helped Tennisball, who is insane enough to miss Golfball, but not these objects with actual improvement.
Leafy slides off of her rock-hard bed and towards the door. The echoes of her footsteps sound like the cries of those who passed - now above or below. Golfball below, Firey above. Oh Firey... Leafy wishes she never tried to steal that island from him.
She walks to the door and slowly turns the knob, pushing it open and walking into the hallway. She looks left... and right...
All clear.
She walks down the hall, towards the exit. Be free! Be free! In your last moments be free!
She runs out the door and into the wood, wondering how quickly she can die so she doesn't hurt anyone anymore.
Lollipop hums to herself and rocks back and forth, staring out the window. A PRINCESS like her deserves much more than this, certainly!
She hums a song to herself, one that her sister once sung to her before she left everyone to be with the COOL people who competed in BFDI. She misses her sister. She wonders what she's doing now...
A soft tap startled her out of her thoughts and delusions.
"Ruby...? Was that you..?" Lollipop calls our, gaining no response.
Her breath starts to quicken, her heart beating- no- POUNDING faster. "Leafy? GATY? PILLOW?! ANYO-"
Another tap.
And a small drip of water lands in her hand. The roof has a leak. It's raining.
This time, she does not freak out. This time, she doesn't not scream.
She smiles softly and ears her head in the window, watching the rain fall.
For once in a very long time, she is at peace.
