This morning, Priscilla was the one up and ready before Robin. To make things even, Priscilla ran into Robin's room, jumping up on her bed and shaking her awake just like how she had done to her a couple mornings ago. She knew Robin was upset about Vickie but Priscilla truly didn't understand why. She thought Robin was overreacting and overthinking this whole thing. Vickie very obviously liked Robin. Robin was just blinded by her own anxieties and couldn't see the way Vickie looked at her.
"C'mon, Robs! Coffee time!" Priscilla sang, shaking Robin awake.
"No..." Robin groaned, grabbing the side of the pillow and pulling it over her head to block Priscilla from view. She really just wanted to sulk in bed all day. What was the point in showing her face in public after what happened at Eddie's show? Vickie would just call Paul up right after they left and make more jokes about Robin's crush on Vickie.
Priscilla grabbed the pillow and tugged it away from Robin's face. "No more hiding." She insisted. "Didn't Vickie say she was looking forward to seeing you at the coffee shop soon?"
Robin sighed, turning onto her back and looking up at Priscilla. "Not exactly that but I guess something along the lines of that."
"So," Priscilla jumped off the bed. "Let's go! I'm sure she'll be happy to see you. I told you, you're overreacting about this. You're letting your mind make up scenarios that aren't real."
It wouldn't have been the first time Robin let her mind make up scenarios that weren't real. And, she really could go for a coffee right now. "Fine." She finally agreed. "Let's go."
Similarly to the other morning, they made their way to the coffee shop just down the street where Vickie worked. When they walked in, Vickie's face brightened at the sight of them. She immediately placed two drinks down on the counter as Robin and Priscilla approached.
"Hey, you two!" Vickie cheered.
"Wow," Priscilla commented, picking up her already made drink. "How did you know we were coming?"
"I could hear your car..." Vickie admitted, looking bashful as though it was her car that made the embarrassing, horrible sounds.
"Ah," Priscilla said, taking a sip of her latte. "That'll do it. How much do we owe you?"
Vickie smiled. "Oh, don't worry about that. On the house today."
Robin raised her eyebrows in surprise. Vickie never comped her coffee order in all the time she'd been coming here and suddenly today she was? This was strange. "Oh, thank you." Robin's tone was soft.
"So, Vickie," Priscilla chimed in. "Robin and I were thinking of having a girls' night tonight. Would you want to join us? You can come by after you get off."
Robin looked at Priscilla and raised her eyebrows even more. She felt like her eyebrows would run right off her face if she tried to raise them any higher. Priscilla and her did not have plans for a girls' night tonight. This was news. Plus, wasn't tonight Priscilla's first night teaching at the studio? What was she plotting here?
"Oh, wow, yeah!" Vickie exclaimed. "That sounds like fun! I'm off at four; I can come over right after."
"Perfect!" Priscilla flashed her a smile before grabbing onto Robin's hand and starting to lead her towards the door. "We'll see you a little after four, then!"
Robin watched Vickie wave as they headed out the door and back to Priscilla's car. The car roared to life, and once Robin knew they were safely out of view of the coffee shop, she yelled, "What the fuck was that?!"
"Oh, you mean girls' night? I just thought it up on the spot. Great idea, right?" Priscilla said proudly.
Robin sighed. "Aren't you teaching tonight?"
