𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇'𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐌𝐘. It manages to choose and cannot die, it manages to change things, for the better or for the worse.

Hope had always hated the anxiety that remaining time made you feel.
It was awful and suffocating, made her feel like her bubble had burst, time was running out.
There were only three days left and that same evening there would be a test in front of the gamemaker and the sponsors.

In those days the only person who had helped her was Finn.
They never spoke in public, they knew how dangerous it was if President Snow found out about them, but during the night they would meet in their secret place and talk for hours and Finn could make her laugh as only her siblings could.

Amalia, Rose and Elias were what she missed the most. She knew that Amalia was taking care of them but she could imagine Amalia's secret crying, Rose's pain-filled silence and Elias' secret exits to go to the forest, perhaps trying to be closer to his sister.
She missed them so much, she really wished they were there with her, it would have helped her so much.

- "do you remember what I told you?"- Oliver asked at the door that would lead her and Boyd into the waiting room to present what they knew how to do.

-"keep a low profile no matter what they think, got it?"-
-" yes I understand, but where is Boyd? "- she asked not finding her partner anywhere.
-"he's with Victor, they were trying on the dress for the interview" - Oliver said rolling his eyes and Hope nodded smiling.

-"they'll arrive shortly, but now you have to concentrate and stay calm, if you panic or fear you're dead" - said the mentor and Hope nodded seriously.

- "Thank you for what you do for me Oliver" - said Hope and Oliver looked into her eyes before hugging her.
It was the first time the two had embraced, they had laughed and Oliver had always supported her and given him advice, but hugs weren't Oliver's thing.
Hope enjoyed the sated security and closed her eyes as Oliver gave her a fatherly kiss on the forehead. Her father had never looked at her the way Oliver looked at her, so proud of her.

-" now no more fuss, we have to find that blockhead Boyd before it's your turn" - said Oliver and Hope nodded.
They had to wait for a while before Boyd came running to them, apologizing for being late.

- "You have glitter on your face, Boyd"- laughed Hope and Boyd immediately tried to take them off while Oliver smiled amused.

-" go and stick to the plan, see you tonight" - Oliver said patting Boyd on the shoulder and giving Hope a smirk.

- "So, how's it going with Finnick?"- Boyd asked as they sat down to wait their turn.
The two tributes from District One had just finished and the male tribute from District Two had just entered.

- "lower your voice or everyone will hear you!" - said Hope giving a blow on the parthener's arm.
-" don't divert the conversation, I'm curious" - admitted Boyd and Hope blushed.
