𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 Hunger Games was tough, but mentoring those tributes was even harder.

Finnick knew it was stupid to fall in love with a tribute, he knew it but that hadn't stopped his heart from doing what it wanted.

He had never believed in love, at least since he won the Hunger Games. President Snow had ordered him to find out people's secrets, to always have them under control, but the only way the people of the Capitol knew to collect their payments was with sex.

Finn felt dirty every single time, but he couldn't refuse or Snow would hurt Mags or Annie and he would never let it happen. He had refused once and twelve hours after that, some people from District Four had found two bodies: his parents.

Since then he had endured without trying to fight back, but now there was one more chance. Hope.
He wasn't the only one to think so, he had seen how many looked at her, as if they were poets and she, their muse.

Barely two days had passed since Hope along with the other tributes had entered the arena and more Finn watched her from the big screen that Snow had put in earlier, the more she felt his heart beat faster and his head get a thousand paranoids.

Until then Hope had managed to hide with Isaac and Boyd, thanks to Hope they had taken two rabbits and no one had been hurt yet.
Finn knew their luck wouldn't last long and since they only had one weapon they were helpless.

Finn kept moving his leg anxiously as he sat in a chair, in front of the screen and the rest of the mentors were with him.
Finn took his eyes off the screen as Hope and her allies disappeared and in their place were two boys, one from District One, the other from District Seven who were fighting.
One of the two would die and surely not the boyfriend of the girl of the One.

- "Everything's going well, they're strong, they'll be fine" - said Victor appearing behind Finn and then went to sit on the sofa next to the chair.

-" where is Oliver?" -
- "He went out to get something to drink, he hasn't been out of here for two days. He's sitting in his chair impassive, I've never seen him like this" - Victor said worried.

-" Hope helped him a lot" - said Finn looking at the door and seeing that Oliver was coming back.
- "it's never happened, we've been here for twelve years, we've seen tributes but none have ever had the effect that Hope has on Oliver" - said Victor and Finn smiled.

-"two days ago it was her birthday, she didn't tell anyone" - said Victor and Finn looked at him bewildered.

- "Then how do you know?" -
-"Her older sister Amalia, sent a letter to Hope for her birthday, maybe she hoped that she would get to the Capitol before the games started"- said Victor and Finn nodded and then went back to looking at the screen where Hope, Boyd and Isaac were laughing, but Finn could see the fear in their eyes.
