Just A Friend

-Marinette and Adrien broke up because he believed Lie-La.
-Marinette's grandmother (Gina) sets her up with Damian over summer break.
-She goes back to Paris with Damian in tow.

Marinette's POV

Today is my first day of senior year! I'm excited because my Demon is coming with me to school. He's even in all of my classes! Ciao, Liar's Sheep!

Getting over Adrien was hard, but I have moved on. My Demon is the only one I want by my side.

Demon and I do our morning routines before hopping on my motorcycle and driving to school. I park, pulling off my helmet and shaking my hair out. Sensing my nervousness, Demon takes both of my hands.

"Angel, you are ready for this. Even if I'm not there for some reason, you know enough to defend yourself properly. I love you." I smile at him. "I love you too, Demon." We walk in the school, hand in hand.

We get to our classroom and enter to the sounds of arguing. Lila and Adrien are screaming at each other while the rest of the class looks on. "Why did you lie about Marinette? She was sweet and kind!"

I decide to make my presence known.  "What lies? The lie that I cheated on you? The lie that I'm jealous of her because of all the celebrities she knows? The lie that I tripped and punched and kicked her, when I was the real victim? Yeah, Agreste. And the worst part is, all of you believed her!" I shake my head, pulling Demon to our seat in the back of the room.

Demon calls out to the rest of my class once we sit down, "Look up any of those celebrities she claims to know, and I'll give you fifty bucks if you can prove that she knows them."

All of my classmates whip out their phones as Lila pales. A few minutes later, my classmates slowly look up from their phones, training murderous glares on Lila as they roar, "YOU!"

They immediately try apologizing as they realize that they hurt me for no reason, but I shake my head. "I do not care for your apologies. Just leave me and my boyfriend alone."

They protest until Rose says, "She has the right to choose to be our friends or not. We got her detentions, ripped her sketchbook, insulted her, hit her, and did tons of awful things. I wouldn't want to be our friend either if I was in her position."

I nod. "Thank you, Rose. Although we will never be friends, I will try to be civil with you guys." The class sighs, looking dejected. "It just feels bad, knowing we were the bullies." ALIX murmurs.

I turn to Demon and hug him. He whispers to me, "Good job, Angel." I kiss him on the cheek. "Thank you for the support, Demon." In the front of the room, I can see Agreste glaring at us with jealousy. I stick my tongue out at him.

Immature, I know, but I'm happy now with My Demon. I don't need anything- or anyone ruining it. I turn to my Demon and whisper, "Don't worry. He's just a friend."
