Damian's POV
The teacher announced that there is a new girl. She is supposed to be special, so we should be welcoming and not bully her, et cetera, et cetera.
The teacher walks out of the door and comes back with a small girl. She looks innocent, but her eyes are ice cold. "Everyone, this is Marianne Fu. She's a transfer student from Paris, isn't that cool?" The teacher smiles at us.
The girl walks over and takes a seat next to me. I give her a glare, but she seems unbothered, simply opening her notebook. "Are you going to stop glaring, Al Ghul-Wayne, or am I going to have to make you?"
I stare at her, shocked she knows about my League background, but more so that her monotonous voice sends a sliver of fear down my spine.
I have met my match.
