Gina's POV

My little fairy FaceTimed me, crying because of my son! I am so very disappointed, but right now I have to focus on getting my fairy out of that situation.

I call Alfred, an old friend. "Alfred, my granddaughter is in an abusive situation. Can Jason go to Paris to pick her up? I'm in the rainforest, so I can't." Alfred puts me on hold to ask the young man about it.

"Gina, tell your granddaughter that he will be there to pick her up at midnight tomorrow. Have her pack her things, because she will be staying with the Family and I." I smile, even though he can't see it. "Thank you, Alfred." I imagine him smiling back. "You are very welcome, Gina."

Marinette's POV

I'm packing my things. I already locked my bedroom door so Tom and Sabine can't get in. I decided to shove the Miraculous box and my sewing supplies into a backpack. I pack fabrics and clothes into a duffel bag. And now to wait.

At exactly midnight, there is the roar of a sports car. Jay-Jay is here! I open my window, climbing out onto the roof and scaling the side down to the ground.

"Hey, Jay-Jay! We have to hurry or Tom and Sabine might see us."

We throw my things into the trunk and drive off. Eventually, we get to the airport and board the Wayne's private jet. I think about my life for the last three years. Beatings, lies, bullying... it has plagued me. Now I'm getting a fresh start from all of that.

I sigh, tapping Jason on the shoulder. He turns to look at me. "Thank you for getting me out of that." He gives me a small smile before signing back, "You thought I wouldn't save a damsel from a f*cked up situation, Pixie? I think not!"

We land in Gotham. Alfred picks us up and we drive to Wayne Manor. The scenery is a blur of colors and objects as I fall asleep to the comforting lull of Jay-Jay humming a sweet tune.

The Next Day...

I get out of bed before panicking when nothing in my room looks familiar. Eventually, I remember that I left Paris and am in Gotham, a whole other continent away. I check my phone, and sure enough there are messages from Tom and Sabine.

Threats, begging, anything manipulative you could think of. Eventually, I do my morning routine and head down in the direction of the dining room, from what I remember when I was little.

I walk in to see Bruce and Alfred policing the boys as they wrestle, while the girls watch and make bets on who is going to win. As soon as Jay-Jay sees me, he's out of the tangle of limbs on the floor and grabbing my waist to twirl me around.

I laugh, grinning as he sets me back down. "Hello, Pixie Pop! I have a plate already out for you with your favorites." I smile at him in thanks before taking a seat.

The other brothers stare at me, confused. I glare at Jay-Jay, signing angrily. "You didn't tell them about me!" He grimaces. "In my defense, I was so angry I didn't really think about that." He turns to them before launching into an explanation.

"So guys, this is my little sister. Gina brought me to meet her about ten years ago, and I basically adopted her. She lost her voice around two years ago due to a beating by her bullies at school. Her vocal cords were crushed, which is why she signs. Demon Spawn, you know how I was asking you for help with my sign language? It was so me and my sister could communicate properly."

They all nod, understanding my trauma. Barbra seems particularly sympathetic, as she knows what I'm going through.

I tap on Jay-Jay's arm and sign something to him. "In Paris, I was a superheroine too. As long as you translate for the rest of your family, I'll explain." His face looks like a mixture of angry and proud, before signing back to me, "Fine."

I begin my tale.

I tell them about receiving my miraculous, Lila, the former Guardian, the bullying, the beatings, everything. By the time I'm done, most of the family is in tears and the rest are angry as heck.

Jay-Jay rises out of his seat and hugs me, comforting me as I cry out all of the pain.
