A/N ~ A little pov change ✨️
Vincent Lestrange's POV
Clarie is so amazing. She is the most intriguing woman I have ever met. She's nothing like the girls we have here. The night gown she wore... it hugged her curves perfectly. It took so much self restraint to keep eye contact. Even then her eyes are so captivating. Those emerald green eyes I've never seen before. No other female here has green eyes. I'm snapped out of my thoughts by Riddle standing in front of me.
"Are you deaf? I've been calling your name for the past 2 minutes" he scoffs.
"Oh sorry my mind was on other things..."
"Other things? What other things?" He quirks an eyebrow.
"It's really nothing. What's on your mind Riddle?"
"That pathetic girl you were with." It's my turn to quirk an eyebrow
"Pathetic? She's quite the opposite, she's the sun coming through the clouds on a rainy day," I sigh just thinking about her.
"You fancy that pathetic excuse for a girl?" He scoffs again.
"So what if I do? She means nothing to you." I snap back.
"I thought you had better taste" he rolls his eyes. How dare he comment on my taste in women.
"I don't comment on yours"
"What did you say to me?" He takes a step towards me. I flinch a bit at the raise of his voice and take step back.
"Uh nothing,"
"That's what I thought. Now I didn't come to talk about your pathetic love life. I came to get information."
"Information? On what?"
"The girl. You must be blind if you don't see how suspicious she seems. All of a sudden a new girl is coming in 6th year and do you not see how she acts? Females are supposed to keep quiet and act quite the opposite than the way she acts. Also, she barely knows Avery, Nott, and Rosier but calls them by their first name. The disrespect she has is unfathomable and pathetic" I cannot believe him. I would suppose he would be interested in men by the way he talks about women. I keep it in my mind of course, if I say it out loud he would kill me. The fact that he put the blame on that fat oaf of a boy could say a lot.
"She's just different"
"No shit Sherlock. Now I need information on her. I need to make sure she won't mess up my plans" he wants information on her? He doesn't deserve information on her. That's a luxury only I deserve, not him.
"Fine, how about I keep pursuing her while Mulciber keeps tabs on her."
"Whatever gets the job done correctly," he storms out of the common room leaving me with this emotion I'm not accustomed to. I call Mulciber over.
"Mulciber, Riddle and I have a job for you. You have to keep tabs on the lovely new girl Clarie," Mulciber gives me a look.
"Why? Why would you want to keep tabs on something like it?"
It.. how absurd
"It?" I can tell by the look on his face I look angry.
"I'm just treating her like an object like you would. You and I both know that once a new girl comes around, she'll be left in the dust."
"That's just my welcome to Hogwarts, you have no business commenting on what I like to do, Mulciber," he looks to the floor not looking me in the eye.
"Fine, whatever I must do to end this conversation with you" he walks away looking at the floor.
"And good night to you too" I scoff. How dare he think he's important enough to talk about my life. He's nothing. He has no power when it comes to Riddle and I. I don't even know why he's in this group. He has nothing to offer me therefore I don't see why Riddle has any use for him.
He acts like he wasn't looking at her the way everyone else was. The way everyone wanted her. Everyone thought Riddle would get her but they were wrong. I will prove them wrong. They will finally see I'm far superior than Riddle. She will be mine, not Riddle's, mine. She will always be mine. Not even death can do us apart.
