Ch 9 - Trying To Reunite

The siblings looked at each other as Blanca ran to where the thudding commotion took place and saw the siblings laughing

"Mom!" Drista gasps as they all stand up. Blanca noticed Cole was acting a whole lot different than before

She looked at Clay, then at Cole, and hugged him as he slowly placed his arms around her, feeling the tears stream down as he apologized to his mother for everything

"All that matters is that you're back," Blanca says, making Cole tear up again. Akira returns home, hearing the news from Drista as he looks to see Clay and Cole reuniting

"Dad," Clay smiles as he brings his brother to his father. Both looked away and awkwardly shook hands as Clay shook his head, "Do it again."

Cole and Akira made contact as Akira sighed, "I didn't know I had another son. I thought Clay was my only son, and Drista as my daughter, and now that I have met you, I'm happy to welcome you to our family...again...I guess I can say that."

Blanca: Of course

Cole: This means so much to me. I thought all of you hated me

Akira: I didn't know you existed because of -

Blanca: Not now, Akira. We are not bringing the past

Clay: It took me a while, but I must admit, I like fighting you

Cole: You...do?

Clay: Yeah! I can finally say I'm stronger than you

Cole: Oh...yeah...

Akira: He's self taught. He learns by instincts. Why, did you get cocky in battle?

Blanca: I even tried warning Cole, but he -

Cole: Please, don't bring it up. I underestimated Clay. I thought because I was born with a talent like him, I would be better, along with my hunger for...

He didn't wanted to finish that sentence, for it only reminded him of what he tried to do to his own family

"I'm sorry," Cole apologized to each and every single one. He looked at the humans as well, and knelt down to their level

He stood up and walked up to Clay, seeing George as Clay handed him to his brother. "I'm glad you made Clay happy, and I can see why he likes you," Cole looks away, blushing lightly as Clay made a low growl, making George giggle and soothed the twin's finger

Cole gave the human back to a protective Clay as he awkwardly shrugged, "Well, umm...I want to ask a favor, if I may."

"Sure, what is it?" Blanca asks as Cole looks dead into Clay's light emerald eyes. Both light and dark shades of emerald pierced each other as Clay grins wickedly

Cole did the same, but the X scar on his face made him look more like a villain than Clay as George immediately slid onto Drista's hands, knowing what they wanted

Akira: Ah, I see you want to continue your battle with your brother

Cole: Even though I had hatred for him, for some reason, I enjoyed it

Clay: Me too, even when you scarred me

Cole: I am sorry, but, is there a way to do it without any real weapons?

Akira: Yep! I got just the thing

Blanca: Akira!

Drista: Mom, just let them. Besides, it seems they made up

Akira: Come along

Akira takes the twins to the basement, and he reveals a secret passcode that only the watches can sense and enters the password

Inside was a large battle arena, meant for practicing for the human realm, and maybe if they were to encounter some giants if they wanted to harm humans

"I practice my skill of heist in here, along with combat to prepare for the human realm," Akira says proudly as the twins were amazed that this place even existed

"Even I would join your father," Blanca sighs as she looks around, with Drista and George following behind

Blanca: So many memories

Akira: Your mother always knew my weakness

Blanca: I knew how to distract you

Akira: And you still do

Cole and Clay didn't grab a single weapon and both entered the arena. They walk slowly in a circle, keeping their gaze at each other as Akira steps out

"It has begun," he smiles as Cole roars, launching himself at Clay, who dodges. Clay watched Cole roll and stand up as Clay smiled

He roared, louder than Cole's, and tackles his brother as both landed on the ground. Both were swinging their arms and legs, and Clay scratched Cole's arm, ripping the fabric of the sweater

"Uhmm, are you sure they're having a friendly battle?" Drista asks as George could smell the blood from the scratch Clay did to Cole

Cole hissed and sunk his teeth on Clay's shoulder, making him scream in pain as Cole, his teeth gripping on his brother's shoulder, swung him away as he let go

HOW?! Clay didn't know he had this inhumane strength. Cole laughs as he licked the blood left on his canine fangs and runs towards Clay

Clay sidesteps as he elbowed the back of his brother, making him slam down as Clay wraps his arm around Cole's neck

He growls as he scratched Clay's arm, making him hiss, but not letting his grip go as he tightened it, making Cole slow his movement

He finally stops moving as Clay let go of his brother, panting as Akira, Blanca, Drista, and George watched with worry

"Was that even a friendly battle?!" George nearly screamed as they heard Cole laugh, "Ah! What a battle! Thanks, Clay."

"HUH?!" the family was confused. They were literally fighting as if they were enemies! Clay laughs and they walked towards the bathroom, wincing in pain as they felt the injuries sting them

"I don't know what that was, but I'm outta here!" Drista says in a sassy tone as she handed George to Blanca, who stared at the human and both looked in confusion

"At least they're still alive," Akira says as Blanca and George shook their heads. The brothers had made up their rivals, but it seem they're still continuing
