The nurse leads me to the front of the building in the waiting area. A line of plastic chairs sit against the wall and the nurse places me down on one.

"Your parents should be here soon, would you like a cup of water?" He says, gazing at the pretty brunette receptionist.

"Yes please." I nod, still trying to digest the information I had been given.

The nurse slowly nods, a smirk playing across his face as the receptionist winks at him. "Yeah..ok I'll be right back." He mumbles, not bothering to even look at me.

I rest back into the chair and take a deep breath, closing my eyes I gently clutch my neck. The pain still not subsiding, it will probably be bruised later.

I open my eyes and gasp as the man from my room sits silently beside me.

"Who are you?" I ask, un-able to look at his face.

"Does it matter?" He sighs tiredly.

"Yes." I say, shakily. "I mean..are you even real?" I wonder, looking around the room it's empty apart from the receptionist, the nurse and us.

"I wont lie to you, I'm not a real physical person. However I have the potential to be in anyone, depends on the circumstances." He pauses. "Don't let that take away any reliability in what I will tell you though."

"Great, I am crazy then." I sigh, rubbing my temples. "What's supposed to happen in two days?"

"Patience Ava. I thought you trusted me?" He turns to look at my face, I slowly look at his in return.

His face is ghastly white, he looks so incredibly ill it's a wonder he is able to keep speaking. "If you're not real then why do you look so horrible? Why am I imagining you this way?" I whisper, staring into his now grey eyes.

"I'm a part deep inside of you, you tell me?" He says, monotonously.

"I don't know!" I shout, causing the nurse to briefly turn. I smile back at his nervous expression until he turns back around to the woman. I incline my head back to the man. "What am I even supposed to call you?"

"You've always liked the name James, you can call me that if it helps you cope." James smiles.

"Thank you.. James why were you different earlier?" I whisper, my eyes dropping to my hands. "You..were..I mean I thought you were going to kill me."

"Ava, I change as you do. You're what makes me change, do you understand?" He holds my face with his hand, forcing me to look at him.

"Not really." I say, honestly.

"Ok..How are you feeling right now?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Alright I guess, I'm excited to be leaving this place really."

"How were you feeling before I visited you earlier?" He smirks as my realisation falls into place.

"Angry..very angry. Confused, frustrated..It was all building up inside of me." I smile as I think back to the thought. "I was imagining what it would be like if I.."

"Go on."

"If I killed Dr Stewart." I whisper, a grin spreading across my face. James laughs and I stop smiling. "I mean..I would never. It's just she made me angry!" I blurt out, panic starting to set in as I realise what I just admitted to.

James places a hand on my thigh. "You don't have to keep anything from me, I know how you felt." He watches my face for a moment as I stare into his eyes. "I'm not going to leave you, I'm the only person you can trust."

"But if you are just a part of me then that means I can only trust myself?"

"Exactly." James grins. "It's a sad but undeniable truth." He takes my face with his hand and turns it towards the nurse, still talking to the receptionist. "Him for example. He couldn't have cared less if you had killed yourself on the first day you got here. All he is thinking about is his pay check at the end of the month."

"How do you know that?" I ask.

"Ava, you are the one that thought it. Cmon! How fucking slow are you? Is nothing that I am saying to you sinking in? You know it all already!" He shouts, rising from his chair. "Am I wasting my time with you?" He sneers, looking down at me.

"No! Calm down, I just don't know what to think ok! It's alot to take in." I snap, my head throbbing from all the clouds and weeds in my head.

James takes my hands and pulls me up. "I don't give a shit. You need to be ready if you want revenge ok? I know it's what you want." He snarls, our faces only an inch apart.

"Revenge? Revenge on who?" I ask, pushing him back.

"Are you really going to make me say his name out loud?" James rolls his eyes. "The one that caused all this boat load of shit in the first place. The one that betrayed you, the one that was the reason behind why you are even in here!" James shakes his head. "Lets not focus on that now. First things first, your parents are here." James spins me round and I watch as Mum and Dad walk through the doors.
