(This will be the constant chapter for a while, no more main stages until the last of act 3.)
A few responders spoke with Tristan and Minnie, making sure they were both okay and they didn't have any serious injuries. As if the responders knew of the tension, they decided to question them on separate sides of the hallway.
Tristan and Minnie could barely hear each other as they answered their responder's questions, maybe a nod here and a shake of the head there, but most words they spoke to each other were quiet and almost distant.
It was obvious that Minnie and Tristan both weren't there, their minds drifting somewhere else, and Leia was concerned, no— she was worried sick. Tristan has never been so, void of her.
Leia glanced at Minnie, who unfortunately caught said girl's glance.
Leia is confused as to why Tristan and Minnie were stuck in the same elevator, as Leia checked on Tristan, Leia asks him suddenly.
"Tris, why were you with Minnie?" She asks her boyfriend bluntly. "It was the only elevator open, it was merely coincidental." Tristan held Leia's hands tightly, trying to reassure her.
Leia nodded, taking his word for it, when she looked back at Minnie, she was upset, both at her and at herself.
She knew of their past together, she managed to squeeze it out during a sleepover with Maddy and the others, Tristan and a few were already asleep and the rest were running on pure sleeping fuel.
