•• August 31st ••Her heels made a loud clanking sound as walked along the corridor of Campion college.
Her limited edition, Louis Vuitton handbag hung casually from her elbow as she approached the principal's office door.
When she was finally infront of the door,
She knocked a few times, before gracing the room with her presence. As a matter a fact she knew the type of aura she carried; or in other words she knew her presence made it clear that she came from old money.
"Good morning ma'am, it's a pleasure to see you again." The principal greets.
She nods in acknowledgment before she sits down, wanting to just get straight to the reason she came there.
"As you know the new school year is starting in a couple days, I just wanted to know if everything is in place for the scholarship students this year? you know after you messed up with the last one." Her voice was cold and serious which made the principal shudder a bit.
"Yes ma'am, we have already put everything in place and will ensure they don't surpass the students that are already at the top of the honors society."
She nods in satisfaction before asking,
"Let me see what it looks like, the prediction of the students you think will be on it and the ranking."
After that the principal pulls up the list on her system. She quickly prints a copy and gives it to her.
As her eyes scan the list she pauses when she sees Aaliyah Hilton,
"Why is Aaliyah's name still on the list and above my daughters name at that?" Venom was lacing her voice as she stared at the paper in her hands.
The principal sighs,
"She was a student here, and if she was alive she would still be in the honors society given her grades and extracurriculars all throughout last year, the board insisted that we leave it there in honor of her hard work."
The woman chuckles to herself,
"She's dead, and that simply means those grades and everything else died along with her. I'm also very sure that you and the rest of this staff wouldn't want me to drop my hands and stop donating to the school financially. Also keep in mind that I'm the one who aids the scholarship program here and that simply means I call the shots. I'm fine if they excell but you know that once they start to get in my daughter's spotlight then..." she trails off.
"Don't let history repeat itself."
With that she stands up, crumpling the paper in her hand.
She throws it on the table before she leaves the office...
