Bakguou

Every day that passed was another day I let Alina down. With each setting sun and rising moon, I was overwhelmed with guilt, shame, and hatred.

Wham!

I threw another punch into the training dummies chest. The sensor indicated it was a fatal blow, but that didn't stop me. I kept hitting and punching the dummy until my knuckles were raw.

Holding down the dummy, I held my palm over its face and screamed.

"Fuck!!" I bellowed as I blasted the head with my quirk until the dummy melted beneath my hand.

I slumped on the floor, kneeling beside the melted dummy. I shifted into a sitting position and drew my knees up. I draped my arms over my knees and tucked my chin into my heaving chest.

"It's all my fucking fault." I muttered fighting back the tears that stung the corners of my eyes. I refused to let them fall. I wouldn't be weak anymore. I had to be strong. I had to be the strongest I've ever been.

For Alina.

"That's the fifth practice dummy you've mutilated. They are expensive, you know." A deep voice came from the doorway.

"It's not like your number one hero of a dad can't afford another." I clicked my teeth.

Aizawa had signed a lot of paperwork to have Deku, Kirishima, IcyHot, and me work Alina's case. He excused us from school until further notice.

The second day after Alina was kidnapped, the pros got involved. Endeavor offered for us to stay at his manor so he could help work the case. One of his prodigies, named Hawks, also volunteered to help.

He left the previous night to get an aerial point of view to see if he could spot any clues or anything that could lead us to Alina.

Deku and Kirishima were in their rooms catching up on homework I had finished weeks ago.

I spent most of my time in the training hall letting out my frustrations.

Icy Hot's footsteps approached until he was standing right in front of me, looking down at me and the dummy.

"We should be out there looking for her." I repeated for what felt like the millionth time in the last few days.

I couldn't let myself think it, but we were far over the forty-eight hour time frame of usual murdered victims.

Any time a phone rang or a hero returned to the manor, my heart would stop, and panic would set in. I was always on edge, waiting to hear that Alina was dead and her body had been found.

You can't think like that.

"I won't try and pretend I know what you are feeling. What I do know is that Alina needs you to keep a clear head. As soon as we get any whiff of her, we will rescue her, and for that, we need you at the top of your game."

"It's not a game. This isn't a classroom pop quiz or some bullshit like that. Alina was kidnapped by the League and they vanished without a fucking trace. We don't know what they wanted her for, and therefore, she could already be dead." I snapped.

"I see. You gave up." Half and Half spoke coldly.

"What?" I spat through my teeth. Eyeing him from beneath my brows.

"You gave up. You already think she's dead. You have no hope. You gave up on her." He stated.

Leaping to my feet, I stood toe to toe with him and growled a warning.
"Don't push me, Two Face." I hissed.
