I woke to the sound of the door slamming. Jolting upright with a hiss and prepared for a fight, I coiled ready to spring.

My body relaxed as my eyes rest on Dabi standing near the closed door. I sighed and rubbed my tired face.
"What time is it?" I groaned, stretching my limbs.

"Just after dawn." He grunted and looked to the abandoned sofa.

I wasn't sure when he had left, but a part of me was glad he was back. I twirled a strand of hair around my finger as I bit down on my lip.

Why would I be glad he was back?

"Look, we have a lot of shit to talk about." He sighed and sauntered to the sofa and plopped down on the middle cushion.

I scooted to the other side of the bed so I was facing him and dangled my legs over the edge.

"Talk about what?" I asked innocently, swinging my legs back and forth.

"How about who the hell are you? What does Overhaul and his guests want with you? That would be a good place to start." He folded his arms across his chest.

My stomach sank at his questions.
"I'm no one special. I don't know why they want me." I paused.
"I'm not stupid, I know they want to use my quirk for something, but what that is, I'm not quite sure yet. As for his guests, I've never met them, so I don't have an answer for you. I'm sorry." I apologized.

Dabi's brows drew together in confusion. He didn't understand what I was apologizing for. Honestly neither did I, but I was sorry I couldn't help more. If I knew more, then I would know why these people were after my uncle, and even me.

"Question for you. Why were you and or Overhaul after my uncle?" I asked.

"You're uncle?" He raised a brow.

"Eraserhead." I stated unsure if he knew his name. Considering he stalked him and blackmailed him, it was probably safe to say he knew his name.

His eyes rounded briefly. This was news to him. He didn't realize we were related. His eyes darted back and forth as he did calculations and went over thoughts in his mind.

"Well now I know why Overhaul and Shigiraki want you. At the very least they hate heroes and want payback." He shrugged.
"Why they want Eraserhead specifically is beyond my knowledge, but it's safe to say you're their bait. The question here is why the experiments here on this island?" He hummed seeming to speak only to himself.

"You don't know?" I asked.

Dabi fell silent for what felt like an eternity while he internally conflicted with himself on if he should tell me the truth or not. Perhaps he didn't know the truth after all.

This is probably a bad idea but I've trusted him for this long. I needed to confess why I might be of importance to them.

"My quirk, Vampiric, is special. I gain abilities when it's active. It's like flipping a switch in my brain. I'm me and then I'm a darker stronger and more dangerous version of me."

Dabi silently and patiently waited for me to explain. I drew in a ragged breath.

"I need blood to survive with or without my quirk activated. Without it I turn into...a monster." I winced recalling that man I had killed. I killed a human being. Just a few days ago at that.

My breath hitched seeing his terrified face behind my eyes. Memories of what I did haunted me. Trying not to focus on that right now, I met Dabi's gaze.

"When I bite someone and taste their blood, I erase their quirk. There is a venom in my fangs that gets into their bloodstream nullifying their quirk for a period of time depending on how much blood I take. If I take enough I can completely erase someone's quirk. If I don't kill them first. The more blood I take the stronger I become. I also gain their abilities for a period of time. Again if I don't kill them." I added solemnly.
