Alina

After hours of being detained for questioning I was finally allowed to leave the precinct. My uncle was by my side the entire time.

The only time he left was when I was examined by a doctor. The kits came back negative and my blood was back to normal. They even gave me a blood bag to feed from because I was a little malnourished.

I had bruises on my arms and legs and around my neck. My wrists and ankles were taken care of and bandaged.

"I promise we will go to Recovery Girl first thing in the morning." My uncle swore as he gently turned over my hands to examine the bandages.

"I'm fine. I'll heal once I feed properly." I held up the blood bag.

"I'm so sorry this happened." Aizawa apologized for the hundredth time.

"Please don't apologize. It was my fault. I snuck out and got kidnapped. I just- I wanted to know the truth, and find out what really happened to my parents."

"It was wrong of me to keep you out of it. You're old enough to know the truth and be an involved, but I don't want you sneaking behind my back and sneaking out anymore. It's dangerous. If I promise to keep you involved then will you please just do what I ask?" He begged.

"I can do that." I nodded.

"Are-are you okay with Eri coming home with us?" He asked.

"Eri? I haven't seen her since we left the ship. Is she alright?" I asked leaping to my feet.

"She's going to be just fine. She's in with a social worker right now and a detective. I signed some paper work she's going to be in my care for a long time."

"Wait you're going to be her legal guardian?" I asked eagerly.

"Of sorts. She has no mother and Overhaul destroyed all of her documents. There is no record of her or her next of kin." My uncle shrugged.

"I see. Well that's wonderful. Now you get to be a dad." I giggled.

A darkness filled my uncle's eyes as his face fell. Something was wrong. His heart rate increased.

"What's wrong?" I asked as guilt swept over me. I wasn't sure what I said to upset him.

"It's nothing. No need to worry. Let's just get you two back home."

"Okay." I agreed and followed him to the offices where Eri was waiting for us.

"Alina!" She leapt off of the chair and crushed me in a tight hug.

"You saved me." She cried into my hair.

"Of course. I made a promise, didn't I?"  I smiled down at her, using my thumbs to gently wipe away her tears.

I scanned the precinct for Bakugou, but I was informed his parents had picked him up a couple of hours ago while I was detained. He had thrown a fit and had to be escorted out which I found ironic considering we were in a police station.

I smiled to myself. He refused to leave my side and had to be escorted off the premise. For Bakugou it was a sweet gesture. Biting down on my lip I thought about kissing him and kissing Dabi.

No. I can't think about that. It's done. Dabi is missing and I'm with Bakugou. We still have my parents murders to solve. I need to stay focused.

Taking Eri's hand, the three of us headed home together. It was a strange feeling seeing my uncle's home again. It had felt so long since I had last been here, but it had only been almost a couple of weeks. I followed him inside as he carried a sleeping Eri and placed her down on his bed.
