𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃, Rebecca and Ali were in line, when the blonde looked over her shoulder and saw Daniel. Rebecca nodded her head and the two walked over to the boy, who was standing in line getting his food, while both girls had empty lunch trays.
"Hi." Ali smiled brightly as she stood next to Daniel.
Daniel turned to see Ali and his face lit up. "Hey, Ali with an i, how ya doin'?" he asked as he smiled brightly at the blonde
"Good." Ali smiled
"Hey Becca." Daniel smiled
"Hey Daniel." Rebecca smiled
"You ladies aren't too hungry today?" Daniel asked the two best friends noticing their empty lunch trays.
Rebecca shook her head and smiled sweetly. "No, can't really eat at a new school."
"No, not really." Ali said
"Here, have some pie. I made it myself." Daniel said while putting a slice of blueberry pie on their trays. Rebecca just shook her head in amusement and Ali smiled at him
"Yeah? So how do two you like The Valley so far?" Ali asked as she grabbed a napkin and plasticware
"It's okay." Rebecca smiled as she also grabbed a napkin and plasticware
"It hasn't been dull." Daniel said, referring to the beach fight and the soccer tryouts.
"Was Newark dull?" Ali asked, to which Rebecca looked at her, and the two of them shared a smirk
Daniel furrowed his brows and glanced at Ali and gave her a quizzical look. "How did you know I was from Newark?"
Ali smiled and sweetly replied, "I asked."
"Oh really? You sitting with anybody?" Daniel asked
"Well you and Rebecca if it's okay." Ali smiled meaning she wanted all of them to sit together
"Sounds great to me, you ladies want some milk?" Daniel asked
"Yeah, thanks." Ali said.
"Sure." Rebecca smiled, and Daniel gave the girls a carton of milk
"Listen, I'm sorry about the soccer tryouts." Ali apologized
"Ah, those are the breaks, you know." Daniel said, as the three walked to the cash register to pay for their lunches
"You remember that guy you had trouble with on the beach?" Ali asked
"Oh yeah, king karate?" Daniel asked
