October 31st, 1984

𝐑𝐄𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐂𝐀 woke up to the ringing of her usual six-thirty alarm. Turning over on her side, she reached over and turned off the alarm. After running a hand through her beautiful brunette hair, she sat up in the bed, stretched and yawned.

Getting out of bed, she turned on her radio, made her bed, and hummed along to the music, as she headed to the closet and pulled her outfit for the day, which consisted of a plain red short sleeve v-neck tee shirt and a black undershirt and some blue jeans. Just as she was about to close the closet door, her eyes landed on the blue leather jacket that hung next to her denim jacket. She grabbed it and laid it on the bed along with her clothing. After she was dressed for the day, she spritzed on a little bit of perfume, then grabbed her backpack and walked down the hall.

"Hi daddy." Rebecca smiled as she walked into the kichen

"Hey kiddo." Dean said as he poured himself a cup of coffee and sat down beside her. "You and Bobby going out again tonight?"

"Well, we have that Halloween dance tonight." Rebecca said as she served herself a bowl of cereal.

"Oh yeah. I remember hearing you and Ali talking about that." Dean said as he took a sip of coffee. "What are you going as?"

"A princess." Rebecca said as she sipped her orange juice, then continued eating her cereal. "I've been meaning to ask you, how are things going at the auto shop?"

"Well, it's not like back home, that's for sure." Dean said. "How are you and Bobby doing? He still walks on water and all that?"

"Yeah. Everything's great dad." Rebecca said. "I know you didn't approve at first, but I do appreciate you being nice to him. He's important."

"I know kiddo. You know, I've been meaning to tell you, I'm glad you've made good friends out here. Bobby and his friends came by the auto shop to have their motorcycles serviced, and when I told them I was your dad, they spoke highly of you." Dean said

"Oh yeah, what did they say?" Rebecca smiled

"They said what a good friend you were to them, and it made me proud. There's one with bleach blonde hair, who's seems to be really protective of you." Dean said

"Yeah, that's Dutch." Rebecca laughed as she finished her orange juice. "I've had to put them in their place a few times."

"I don't doubt it." Dean laughed. "You get that from your grandmother, Mary."

"Anyway, the dance will be over by midnight. I'll have Bobby drive me home." Rebecca said as she stood up and put her bowl in the sink

"I trust you kiddo." Dean said. "Well I've got to get going, but have a good day and I'll see you after school, okay?"
