The ox came to visit next. Of course, he was distant as ever. Yet there was a certain calm vibe that the gentle ox held. He sat there, tending to her carpetburn after her mother dragged her by her hair through the halls. He had been there, changing into dark Haru and nearly killing the insane woman. Yet even after what the god had done with the love of his life, he was still being gentle. Quite the contrast to the previous rage her mother had just witnessed.
Later, he brought his god a plate of nuggets and mac n cheese. He tried his best to get her to touch one but the concept was too strange. Then he sat back and thought. He thought and thought before taking a handful and just shoving them down his throat. Angry eating almost. Yet it helped her to see that it wasn't dangerous. If he was eating them then they weren't gonna hurt her. Slowly, she began to delve into the world of fast food.
The ox stopped his frustrated feast before throwing up a hand to high five her. Encouragement, that's what he was. A gentle breeze in the right direction. Whoever said that the ox was dumb? Oh wait. She did. But all Hatsuharu did was smile and keep on teaching her how to be human. The ox wasn't dumb at all. He was gentle and kind. Far from what she had implanted in her own mind.
