Akito had always felt something was missing. It was clear from the day she was born into this world. She was God, and she was gifted everything yet nothing at the same time. It left her questioning everything and becoming weak.
Yet when she found everything she had been looking for, she had no idea what to do with it. She freed herself from the curse, got married, and even had a son. She had many friends now and was learning about the world. She found out that she could love and was worthy of love.
Even after a long day of work. Being the family head wasn't an easy job. Especially with maids asking if she would produce anymore heirs. Even though she had explain that having Shiki nearly killed both her and her baby. She didn't care much about herself, she cared about her son though. She wanted her baby to survive and see the world that she couldn't.
She thought of this as she slid her shoes off, stepping into a quiet home. Her gaze swept over her husband's shoes and stepped into the bedroom. A smile crept onto her pale face as she stared down at the sight of her husband curled around their son. The toddler rubbed his nose with his fist before going back to sleep.
Yet even after a long day, she got to come home to this. This was what she had been missing. This made her horrid life worth it.
This was her home. And she'd do anything to keep it with her, always.
