"It's almost mother's day. Planning to get your mother some flowers, huh?" Sawa had a hunch this was why her and Shiki were pacing around the flower stalls. She smiled as he paused at a red tulip stand and watched as he pondered over them. He seemed so thoughtful about this.

"Yea. I do every year, I haven't missed a single one. How'd you know?" He finally looked up as he lifted up the bouquet and paid the vendor.

"I had a hunch. It seems like I thing you would do and I think she would be happy to recieve some."

He held the tulips close as he smiled off to the side. "You're right. She always gets bashful and hides behind them when I give them to her. Dad swears that he dies every time he sees it."

"Well since we're dating now, wouldn't I have to give her some as well?" She tilted her head before realizing how dumb the suggestion might've sounded. He fell silent and Sawa started to internally panic. "I'm sorry, that was probably insensitive-"

"She would like that." Shiki set a hand on her arm to calm her, reassuring her.

Shiki was right. Upon receiving the bouquet of combined tulips and tiny daisies, the head of the family hid behind them with her husband giggling in the background. She was bashful until she threw one of her slippers at Shigure, smirking as it bounced right off his forehead.

"Aki!" He gasped, pretending to be hurt yet his amused expression remained.

Shiki sighed. Sawa enjoyed being over at the Sohma residence. It was so full of love and life that she felt bad for existing in it. However Shiki was always two steps away, guiding her to relax and enjoy the warmth of his home.

She loved it here.
