Lo'ak's POV:
"Do you think my parents are still there?" I ask Veylo as we walk hand-in-hand back to the Tipani house grounds.
Veylo and I had spent the rest of the night tangled up together, soaking in the newly found mating bond we had.
It was intense. We had a connection before due to us being true mates but now that our souls have finally connected it was like our entire universe was set in place; had a purpose even.
Veylo was my purpose.
"Do you want them to still be there?" He asks, looking at me questionably.
The thing was—I didn't know the answer to that. Did I want them to still be there? Or did I hope they went back to Omaticaya?
If they stayed it meant they wanted to talk again, and I didn't want to end up in another fight with them. But them staying also meant that they cared enough to wait for me to return.
I'm the other hand though, if they went back to Omaticaya it was a guarantee that an argument wouldn't happen again and that I was free to stay with Veylo without having to worry about what my parents will say about it. But that meant that they really didn't care enough—never really did.
"Whatever happens, it'll be okay. Just know I'm right here," Veylo stops walking, placing his hand against my beating heart, "I see you, love"
His words gave me hope that it would be fine either way, after all, he was my purpose now. He was my mate.
"I see you"
