Authors Note: Thought I try something new!

Mengí's POV:

I hand Lo'ak's drink to him, grabbing my own, and sitting back down.

Learning that Veylo, the boy I saw as my own son, had a true mate was absolutely amazing. But at the same time absolutely terrifying.

Veylo deserved the world and I feared that one day he would be mated to someone who didn't treat him the way he deserves.

But knowing that his true mate was Lo'ak made all my worries go away. He was smart, caring, and strong—even if his other clan didn't believe he was.

When he had told me about his past and I couldn't comprehend why someone like Lo'ak could be treated like an outcast. He was anything but, and him having a true mate proves that.

True mates were something that not some ordinary na'vi got. Only those who truly deserved it got one. One truly had to be a true na'vi.

Lo'ak was that.

And I was so glad he was Veylo's mate.

"Thank you. It's amazing" Lo'ak says after taking a sip of the drink.

I smile, "Welcome. It was actually Ely's recipe"

It had been years since I'd brought up my deceased mate, Ely. It was just so hard to talk about them.

Ely was my world and losing them was the hardest thing I've ever gone through. It was like my heart was ripped from my chest.

But time heals. Being able to actually talk about it with someone shows that. Before I couldn't even speak my mate's name without choking on my words, and now I can relive my Ely's memories and share them with others.

And as the na'vi say, every person is born twice, so my soul always has a chance at finding my love once again.
