Harrison POV

(Prom night, 11 & half years ago)

I looked myself over in the mirror for the hundredth time, and for the hundredth time I heard my mom call my name from behind my bedroom door, telling me she's ready to take photos.

Today's the day I'm going to confess my feelings to Charlotte.

I felt like I couldn't stay still, I had redone my hair four times in different positions in the past hour and I have practiced what I was going to say to her for a full week now.

One last deep breath I shook off the nervous feeling and moved away from the mirror or else I'd never work up the courage to leave my bedroom, and my mom was starting to drive me crazy about the damn photos.

Once I left my bedroom, I saw Charlotte's mom in the kitchen talking to mine, which meant she was here already, and just like that I felt like I was sweating through the new suit I bought for prom.

Inside I was freaking out, but outside I kept my face as neutral as possible, even when I got further into the living room, where Charlotte was standing.

The moment I saw her time had stood still and every single feeling of doubt, nervousness and anxiousness went away, because I knew that this was the right thing and there was no better time to tell her then today.

She looked beautiful, so damn pretty and all I could do was look away embarrassed by how much skin was showing and sexy her legs looked in those sparkly heels she wore.

Her hair was wavy and fully down, something I never got to saw much but I loved it, the only downside was that I couldn't go up to her and tell her just how perfect she really was.

"Oh Harrison, you look handsome."

Pulling my eyes from Charlotte, who turned and looked at me, I looked at her mom and smiled politely.

"Thank you Mrs. Miller."

Just then my mom and dad come into the room, camera in hand and grinning at both me and Charlotte as she came to stand next to me.

"They want photos of us." She whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine as her hot breath touched my ear.

Jesus fucking Christ, how am I going to survive this?

"I hope you're both ready!" My mom excitable says.

I rolled my eyes. "Mom do we really have to? We're going to be late."

She scowled at me and used her hand to direct us near the fireplace. "Of-course you have to, prom only happens once you know!"

"I won't get to see you in a suit all dressed up again, at-least not until your wedding." She nagged, playing with the camera.

"It's a good memory son, you'll appreciate these photos when you're older." My dad said, with a nod from Sarah, Charlotte's mom.

"Now get close, don't be shy now!" My mom said as I swallowed hard.

Charlotte looked at me with a nervous smile as I smiled back and put my hand around her waist, almost timidly she put her hand around mine and it was the most hardest thing I have had to do.

I've touched her before, but never like this, not dressed up like we were and never in front of our families, something about it felt different, but I didn't know how.

"Okay, I think I got it, now let's get Charlotte with Sarah." My mom said as I moved my hand away from Charlotte and stepped aside.

I watched as Charlotte had photos with her mom, as my mom was snapping photos of them both I heard my doorbell go, making me move to go answer it whilst everyone stayed in the living room.
