I shift around a bit sitting up to look out onto the balcony. The birds just starting to get up and start tweeting, I smile before walking over and closing the curtains. I traipse back over to the bed and lay back down covering myself in the soft silky blankets and sheets. Topping myself with a heavier fur blanket before drifting off to a deep slumber. "Excuse me Angelica its time to get up." I sit up a bit startled. "Yes ma'am working on it." I shift around a bit and get out of bed putting on some slippers before heading to the wardrobe. I open it and grab some clothes, consisting of a dress, some undergarments as well as a pair of shoes.
I walk downstairs, lifting the robes up lightly as not to trip. "Ms. Angelica, it's so nice to see you're up and well." I smile, gesturing a small bow I say, "Same goes forth to you Mistress Ava." I walk forward and sit down at the table. The table was made out of a mystic wood found only in the elves forest, the grain shifting back and forth like an ever moving wave. The knots in the wood spiraling inwards into an ever swirling vortex. Topping it was an item running across the length of it only covering a small strip down the middle. It looked like it was crafted out of a divine creatures fur, glistening with an ever so slight shifting as you look at it. The feeling of warm emanating from the cloth, "Is it imbued with magic at all or is it just the mere presence of it that causes this feeling of joy and warmth?" I think to myself.
"Angelica? Did you sleep well enough? The night had come down a bit chilling even the animals had bunkered." Ava asked.
"Hm? Oh yes I slept quite well mistress." I say before diverting my gaze back to the table, fixating on the object once again. "But the birds were out last night and it wasn't chilly." I think. "Mistress, what is this exactly?" I say gesturing towards the item.
"Oh that, it's a cloth of unity and harmony. It's imbued with the culmination of one ancient ones powerful spells and his apprentice. It brings everyone to a more peaceful debate to give the best end result. Anyone who walks in this room becomes influenced by its immense power."
"Interesting, so this is used to make plans for war as well?"
"Oh no, this isn't capable of being used for evil or harm to others regardless of who they are."
"So what do you use it for then if not greater plans of war?"
"It is used to plan works within the kingdom, not a lot are ever fond of it but it's necessary to get work done and be in agreement."
"Very well, that makes much more sense. I was curious though, where did it come from like how did it end up here and why did he imbue it into such a useless object?"
"Those are all valid questions, but after I answer them we must be off. There's work to be done all over the kingdom."
"Very well milady, I'm eager to accompany you."
"Now, once a long while ago before the great builders walked the earth, and blessed the planet with technology and the building blocks of which we rest our homes on. There was great primordial beasts that roamed the vast planes, taking a swipe at anything that looked edible. These creatures were a force to be reckoned with, they stood at least eighteen feet tall and that was on the small side. They could grow up to forty feet in height and all aspects of them were teeming with danger. Razor sharp teeth, glinting scales and talons that could tear through building. Living nearby forests and rivers they would lie wait for you when you were paying the least attention. Despite the openness it was quite dense especially in the trees. These creatures flourished in these conditions though, being able to hide amongst the thick brush and greens. Even though they were large that never meant you could see them, they were kings of camouflage and hunters night and day. The Great Ones found these monsters to be inexplicably horrid and foul creatures. So to deal with these annoyances they set to work fashioning weapons. These weapons were called The Weapons of the Five. Each weapon was wielded later on by each individual guild leader, granting them immense power fields and allowing them to fight for what felt like forever. These first guild leaders are the ancient ones, they were assigned to eliminate the monsters. Their awakening changed the course of time, allowing us mere humans to rise up and become a dominating race. With the ancient ones as our guide we became powerful, we used the knowledge of technology and the power of magic granted to us by them to make ourselves even stronger. Unfortunately as we grew the ancient ones began fading away, after they passed their legacy started to crack under the force of time. Until eventually it broke away and people started forgetting they ever existed. With the ancient ones out of the picture evil started to rise, taking ahold on the fears of the people and took a foothold on the lack of power to stop them. Those cities who fell to the darkness have been consumed and brewing in their own chaos.
